Overall, I did really like this. The world building was fantastic and created this vivid, destroyed world with magical metal powers. That was the best part of the book. The setting of this book and the world that's to be in the sequels really saved the book from its shortcomings.
Now, the characters were a little... bland and generic. Most of them were Mary Sues and Gary Stus in a way, with some flaw, but lacked characterization to give them much dimension. The plot was extremely structured and derived, with events happening almost exactly on cue. There were a few moments that stood out, but otherwise it was pretty predictable. The twists about the powers and the world, of course, were fascinating. The twists about the characters? Not as interesting. Nothing was emotionally tense because I didn't really care about the characters. And I've been with these characters for the many days I spent reading this -- I still didn't care that much.
The prose was simple and I felt it was extremely well written. The fight/action scenes were extremely easy to follow and didn't get muddled. The powers were described fantastically, making it vivid and a pleasure to read. Definitely all the action scenes were highlights.
Oh, also, the romance was almost insta-love and I'm not a huge fan. I prefer the slow burn.
Despite some of my negative feelings towards the book, I still really liked it. It was extremely well written, interesting, and sets itself up for way more to come.

To be honest, this took me multiple attempts to finish but I’m glad I did.
It starts off a bit slow- so much time I feel is taken to introduce how the magic system works. I just kinda wanna describe it as like metal bending from avatar the last air bender but with a bit of oomph.
(My brain kinda still doesn’t fully get it but we’re going with it.)

4.5 o 5, no sé, no importa, solo pienso en kelsier por ahora.
I'm a bit... Underwhelmed by the end? The new king? Just like that? Did he really deserve that position? But what an amazing read overall. Loved the characters and the world building.
