Absolutely no one talks like this. The dialogue ruined the book for me.

I'm not in it for the writing because honestly, the writing sucks. I'm also not in it for the characters because the characters are annoying. I'm in it for the angst and the drama.
I was craving for that moment when these stupid guys finally realize that they were wrong about the girl. That they've been bullying her when she hasn't done anything wrong.
Logan is my favorite. Even though he was an asshole at some point, he was still the first one to question things because he did get to know how Riley is. Before the end of the book, he was back to his sweet self and I think that deserves a reward.
Royce is okay. Except for the stalker tendencies, he hasn't really done anything to hurt Riley.
Now, Grayson is another story. He is an asshole. He assaulted Riley physically and sexually and that to me is unforgivable. Boo fucking hoo. He did not even try to find out the truth. He's a stupid guy who thinks he's so smart and knows everything. I hate that he's the first one to have had sex with Riley (a hate-fuck) and I hate that that incident was just shrugged off.
They better fucking grovel in the next book especially that dickhead Grayson.

What a on the edge of your seat read. This is a very dark themed read so read the triggers. This is a fast pace read that is fantastic and awesome how it pulls you in from the very first page tell the ending. I can’t wait for the next book to come out.

I still can’t wrap my head around what I just read. This book has me in a chokehold and in the biggest book slumps.
I truly don’t remember the last time I stayed up to 1am reading a book. I just simply couldn’t put this book down.
Riley is a survivor in and out. She will not let anything stop her from doing what needs to be done. I’m just head over heels for this FMC.
I really loved Royce and Logan, Gray has a lot of making up to do so by the end of this series I know I’ll love him.

I won't lie, I was hesitant. One thing I will say, it's not a true sports romance, the book solely doesn't revolve around the game, but it has elements that involve the character development.
Riley comes to the university for a fresh start for herself and one day make life better for a certain secret of hers. Soon she gets suckered into tutor a hockey star for a math class. soon sparks come alive and bliss comes alive and for the first time she's able to let go. But things take a turn when past history start to rear it's ugly head. Riley must stand strong when her world turns upside down and the dangers of the secrets get her into a tougher situation.

This is a dark, formative why choose book and does end on a cliffy. The author promised us a HEA, but it's not there yet.
Will I keep reading? Yes.
Why? Because there's a certain character that I hope get's his behind handed to him. And I'm ready for the moment where Riley comes in and says "You want to call me a liar again?"

I love Riley as a FMC! She is strong, has a back bone but also vulnerable, too. This is a story with twists and turns, angst, and sweet moments.
I absolutely adore Logan - he is the golden retriever of the group and hockey star. He needs Riley’s tutoring help so he doesn’t get benched and he is just gone for her. It makes his turnabout after believing Grayson that much more heartbreaking.
Grayson is Riley’s stepbrother and they haven’t seen each other in 3 years since his world crashed down. He harbors some serious hatred for Riley believing she had a part in his father’s downfall.
Royce aka Ruthless is a cage fighter with some serious brooding. I liked how each MMC had a different introduction to Riley. Each introduction showed the facets of Riley. With Logan, she is shy, hesitant and drawn in by him. With Royce/Ruthless, she is a firecracker and takes no shit. With Grayson, she is almost resigned to his misconceptions but does not bend to his will.
All I can say is the grovel for book two better be epic. Grayson…I don’t know how he can be redeemed. Since Logan knew Riley before he realized she was Grayson’s stepsister, he has a hard time reconciling what he’s been told about her and what he knows.
