Good story, but I felt like it was too dragged out and slow towards the end. I found myself wanting to just get through the book to finish it so I can start something new within the last 100-200 pages or so. 😔

I am a Kristin Hannah fan but this was a stinker for me. The characters all annoyed/frustrated me except for the main male character's brother-the priest. The teenage daughter was the most annoying character I've read through in a long time. I could not wait for the book to be over. The plot overall was okay. Pretty predictable and I just can't stress enough how annoying everyone was. The back and forth and flip flopping in each relationship drove me crazy.

It was not terrible, but not the Kristin Hannah I was expecting after The Four Winds. It felt like a Nicholas Sparks plot, but with Kristin Hannah’s writing. Sweet story, but very predictable throughout most of the book - everything that happened was too obvious.

Good thing she kept writing. This was meh. Predictable and too sappy for me.

I usually really enjoy Kristen Hannah books, this one was not a favourite. I found it fairly boring to read, and very long winded.
