I can't help it - 5 stars - an emotionally charged, gut-wrenching story about family, forgiveness, and the messiness of life.

Madelaine Hillyard is a world-renowned heart surgeon who has worked tirelessly to build a career she can be proud of. Yet, despite her professional success, her personal life is in shambles. As a single mom, she’s constantly at odds with her sixteen-year-old daughter, Lina, whose anger and rebellion are only compounded by the fact that she’s searching for a father who disappeared before she was born.

Madelaine’s life is further complicated when Angel DeMarco—her past love and baby daddy who abandoned her—returns as a patient in desperate need of a heart transplant. After years of pursuing fame and the life that comes with it, Angel’s return forces Madelaine to face the betrayal she’s been carrying for so long. Not only does she have to come to terms with his past actions, but she also has to find a way to repair the broken bond with her daughter.

Hannah's portrayal of these complex characters is deeply moving. The themes of forgiveness and second chances are powerful and beautifully explored, and the way the characters evolve throughout the story had me captivated. It is in essence a great storyline for a Hallmark movie, but deserves the attention of a blockbuster hit.

The relationships in Home Again—especially between Madelaine and Lina—are raw and real. As a daughter remembering my teen years, I could feel the tension, the longing for connection, and the confusion that Lina suffered. Watching every character's journey towards healing was both painful and heartwarming.

This book is a must-read for anyone who loves stories that dive deep into the intricacies of family and forgiveness. It’s one of those books that reminds you how important it is to be open to healing, even when it feels impossible. Home Again left me teary-eyed, and I won’t forget these characters anytime soon.

Cliché and dragged on. I also saw lots of grammar and spelling errors. I bought it at target recently so idk how that happened.
