You know, I really was shocked at how many 1 star reviews this book had. It made me kind of bummed when I read some reviews after buying the book.

The book was very well written and I liked all the characters. The plot was just predictable - but I did still tear up at the pivotal moments because of how beautifully it was all presented to the reader. Didn’t love the supernatural, beyond the grave chapters though - they felt out of place.
I loved this story involving a cardiologist, a spoiled movie star, a priest, and a teenage girl with a bad attitude. If you read this book, make sure you have some tissues handy ... that's pretty much standard for all of the Kristin Hannah books I've read.
Fantastic story, moved me to tears.
There was a few things I didn’t love- I felt that Lina was an obnoxious brat and I wanted to smack her a few times.
I liked that Val was in this book, since he was just in Angel Falls.
Overall, very well done, will definitely recommend this.
