Started out a bit soap opera-like, but really built well. As an early KH work (‘96) I wasn’t sure where it would fall in her scope of writing.
However the plot twist, the grief, and the redemption arc were really well done. I cried for about 60-75 pages in middle, but loved how it worked out. The ending was perfect.

I liked this easy to listen to book. It wasn't deep, it wasn't unpredictable, it wasn't compelling, but it was enjoyable. It held my attention and I didn't dread listening to it on my commutes. It was pretty good for what it was.
