What a book! Easily one of my top reads for 2024! I loved this world, the characters, the storyline, all the tropes, the humour, everything just flowed so well. I couldn't put it down and it only took me a day to read.
We have Charlotte, Jace, Mateo and Roman. Charlotte moves into her brothers (Harrison) old room in an apartment that he shared with his three best friends and team mates. The room has been empty since Harrison moved out so it was perfect to help Charlotte out. She has to leave her apartment unexpectedly and quite quickly so has nowhere else to go. The guys are away at a game but get back sooner than Charlotte expected.......
This is such a fun, fast paced, insta love, slow burn read and I can't reccomend it enough! Can we also, just take a minute to appreciate the cover

I really wanted to love this. In the beginning, I did.
But then the story annoyed me and kept annoying me. This is one of those books that I'd almost rather the plot just be their relationship.
Instead it's just...lying to her brother? And all of them are broken up about it? They keep complaining about it being disloyal and awful.
And they have multiple chances to come clean.
Then it's kinda anticlimactic. They all punch each other once. Upset for a short time. Then the brother just learns to be okay with it, showing that he probably would have done that if they'd just told him from the start.
Most of the spice was good. But uh...quick question. Why all the forking roaring? I hate roaring during spice, even during monster romance. But this is contemp rom com. It's humans. Why do they keep roaring?

Enjoyed thoroughly and ate it up! I wish there was more punishment for Harrison for being such an overprotective idiot!

I'm just going to start by saying that when I started reading this book, I had no idea that I would be giggling, gawking, crying and MELTING!
I absolutely devoured this book. It gave me all kinds of feelings and I found myself staying up all night to know what the hell is going on in my boys' minds.
If Mateo was real, I'd take off to find him right now and just.. make him mine.
If Jace was real, I'd hug him and tell him that he's loved and deserves to be loved even though he can be an asshole to save his heart.
If Roman was real, I'd take his hand and tell him it's okay to be different and I'd kiss his hand because damn those hands can do something.
Harrison has my entire heart and all I wish right now, is to get a book with him and... yeah, I wonder who? Hihihi..
Then there's Charlotte. Sweet, sweet Charlotte. You beautiful, amazing and strong woman. I loved every bit of emotions rolling over her and how she let's go for these hot men.
This book destroyed the last bit of innocence in my heart and now I can't get back down from the high. Everything about this book was beautiful, sweet and spiiiiiceeyy. I loved everything about this book (even though I expected just a liiittle bit more bromance between Jace and Harrison). This book was the perfect balance between catching my heart and twisting it

This is my first book, by either of these authors so I wasn't sure what to expect but good lord I was not disappointed in the least!! I absolutely loved this book, I don't read a lot of why choose romance but this one, was so good. I loved the Charlotte and the guys, the relationship between the four of them and the relationship that sparked between Mateo and Roman, I loved it all. Although Harrison (Charlottes brother) really does need to calm down, I get being protective of your sister, but Megan is right keep that douchy behaviour out the door lol It was a great balance of story and spice, I will definitely be putting this at the top of my to recommend list when it comes to hockey romances <3
