Not a fan of this trope but it was a good read with lots of spice!
“Charlotte is the love of my life, the one person I thought I’d never deserve, and her… her and my two best friends, we’re a team.”
My Brother’s Teammates Was my first book by Melissa Ivers. I’ve read most of Lasairiona McMaster’s books and this one flowed as if written in one voice. This one starts with an excruciating heartbreak for our adorkable, real-bodied FMC Charlotte. I wanted to throat-punch her douchecanoe ex and his boy toy, but was pleased with his comeuppance. Distraught and with nowhere to go, she plans to crash at her brother’s old apartment with his three buddies. Melissa and Lasairiona have talents for such vivid imagery, Charlotte’s early observation of the bachelor pad made me wish she’d nope the heck outta there. LOL! What’s better than shaking up with one hot, protective hockey player? Well, three of course! I loved each of their unique personalities from the start. From the unrequited pining to the bisexual awakening and the flirty banter it all made my heart so happy! Roman and Mateo’s evolving friendship was sweet. Jace’s crunchy cinnamon roll demeanor held a heartwarming charm. I found Charlotte relatable, brassy, and endearing. The scorching chemistry was off-the-charts hot with these four! I really hope we get Harrison’s story. I would love to read more of this team’s HEAs!

Really cute read - hoping it’s the start of a series!
