3.8 AVERAGE

I was able to get early access to this book and it has so much in it, you will fall in love with Charlotte, Roman, Mateo and Jace. There is heart, steam (lots of steam), laughter, and feels all the way through. Even prickly cactus Harrison will have you wanting to give him a hug.
When you're the baby of the family, you never want to be seen as the screw up or the one who needs saving. You want to show them you can save yourself. Charlotte gets dealt a crappy hand, well hands, and wants to prove she can do it without the help of big brother Harrison. I loved Charlotte's growth as she found herself. One of my favorite lines Mateo tells her is you're 26 not 96 and that is so true. Like Charlotte we so often lose ourselves in what we aren't doing or "should be doing" versus the timing for our life is just right. In then end she got her delicious happily ever after.
Mateo, Jace and Roman aka Harrison's teammates and former roommates don't realize when the hurricane that is Charlotte crashes into their empty room, it would tilt their world on it's axis but also make it right at the same time.
I imagine as an author capturing multiple POVs and personalities is hard, however Lasairiona and Melissa did a good job of giving us three unique men. All of these men come into Charlotte's life and show her that it's okay to ask for help and support, that she can do all the things, and that as long as you are happy screw the rest of the world.
This cowrite was fast paced but well done. I am left wanting Harrison's story and a chance to see more of the four of them together. If books with hockey and a multiple partner relationship are your thing, you definitely need to add this one to your TBR.

Thank you to the authors and Love Notes PR for the ARC copy!

Long story short, if Jess from New Girl ended up with all three roommates and they played hockey. And it is fantastic

Some of my favorite things, hockey + why choose, & also brother’s best friends

An enjoyable hockey romance. Really quick read. Little bit of spice. Enjoyed that Charlotte didn’t have everything figured out.

This book was a great read! It had all the best tropes. Brothers best friend, other best friend, other best friend, awakening, enemy still lovers, friends, to lovers, alpha, male personality, I could go on and on! You should 100% go get this book when it drops! I couldn’t put it down the whole time even screamed at one part!!! And the spice, don’t even get me started!!! It was so freaking good!!

I really really enjoyed this book! I enjoyed it enough I could over look my least favorite trope (best friends little sister)

I may be in the minority but I do not like Harrison. I’m tired of men infantilizing their grown sisters. You’re out here sleeping around and don’t consider those girls are also someone’s sibling? There is even mention of how he would have group rendezvous with the exact guys but then he wants to sl*t shame his sister for doing what he also does. Grow up. Being upset about being lied to is one thing but the way he spoke to and about his best friends and sister? Nah id cut him off. Charlie was way too forgiving after his weak apology. The authors did an amazing job at making him a jerk but, for me, they didn’t redeem him. However I can’t wait to see if he gets his own book and can redeem himself there!

Overall this book was 5 stars for me. The writing was great. We really got to know each character through their own chapters, which some books seem to struggle with. I enjoyed the story and the smaller stories interwoven into it.

Also can I just say the escape room had such SAW vibes that I was cackling!

Thank you so much to Love Notes PR for giving me the opportunity to ARC read this wonderful book by Melissa Ivers & Lasairiona E McMaster

I was so grateful to get an ARC to review!
This book was pretty delightful. If you like Emily Rath or Lily Gold you’ll probably be pleased with this story. There are some moments when the book tells rather than shows, which keeps it from being 5 stars, but I would 100% recommend it if you like Why Choose?, hockey romance, plus-size FMCs, and very dirty talk in your books.

Smash, sorry don’t have much comment. Liked the fact they were all so cool with the sharing part. Love the fact that there is some bi awakening in it. And how chill it’s mostly is
