Historical fiction set in London during World War II. It takes an interesting look at how some of the less fortunate were affected by the. The story follows two orphans, one poor, one well off who form a family with a bookstore owner who is mourning his wife. There is mystery woven into the story and an enjoyable read.

Unfortunately, I did not find the story authentic as it pertained to the bombing of London during world war II by Hitler. Focusing on two teenagers and I just felt like the author sugar coated it, it was just all puppies and butterflies to me. So for me that was not authentic as to what I thought the story should have been which was the utter devastation and misery that the people in London went through and also so many people that died. It just did not appeal to me.

I just finished listening to Strangers in Time by David Baldacci. It is a great read! Baldacci normally writes thriller/CIA/Black Ops type novels and I love his writing. This is a historical fiction that takes place in London the last year of WW2. But, it could be a war time story from any time. It is very character driven. Three very different people are brought together by the disaster all around them. The story is about determination, resiliency, and friendship. I loved it.
