Benedito Ruy Barbosa poderia escrever esse, mas George R. R. Martin jamais poderia escrever Pantanal.

I have never been a Targaryen fan. George has done a really good job with the great houses of Westeros but if I have to pick one to be dead at the end of ASOIAF it would be without a doubt the Targaryens. And the other great thing the autor has built is precisely the morbid around the story of the rise and fall of the dragon’s blood family. The book has some boring parts, but they are eclipsed most of the time by the drama and madness this family brought to the seven kingdoms. It is definitely something a fan wants to read, rich in details and astonishing as fictional history.

feels like im reading a textbook, actual snoozefest

This feels a bit like the author can do worldbuilding but can't be bothered to tell a story through dialogue, so it's told as a history with little speech. It's not bad, but I'm struggling to make much headway.

Narrator seems to be mispronouncing "loyal" as "lille" - though I don't have a paper copy for comparison.

Content warning: Unnecessary use of slurs presumably intended to sound archaic - "ni**ardly" is completely unnecessary where "miserly" would do. "queer" is just used to mean strange, so I guess that's ok.
