I love how this fleshed out the world of Westeros, but the last hundred or so pages after the end of the Dance of the Dragons felt like a slog at times.

The first half passed quickly and way more pleasantly than the second. The dance was truly a miserable affair. Loved the 'history book' style of narration (first and last time my history degree actually helps me with anything).

Interesting but a little slow and even tedious at times. Wouldn't have finished if I wasn't a huge GOT fan. Also, whenever a dragon died... It made me so sad!
