This book is so good! Even as a Read Aloud Revival listener I gained so much good wisdom, book recommendations, and advice. I got it from the library but am going to buy my own copy. Sarah Mackenzie is the best.
This is the perfect book to have in your library if you are a mom, teacher, grandparent, aunt, etc. You can hear all of this information and more on her podcast The Read-Aloud Revival but it's organized all right here in this book. I would highly recommend the print copy since you'll want to dog-ear pages to remember which books to check out from the library or highlight books you already own! Even as an avid reader for my family there were many new recommendations I am excited to try.
By far my favorite part was the breakdown of how publishers choose the age ranges for books. If you've ever wondered why your strong reader doesn't seem interested in books in their "age range" she has great insight into one reason why. It's a great, uplifting read with amazing resources to be used for years to come.

Meh. Not a bad book, just kind of full of anecdotes and I feel like it could’ve been a lot shorter. The lists seem fun though, excited to read thru some with my kiddos.

I think the book lists will be very valuable, and the concepts are solid, but it could be much shorter and seemed at times to be longer than necessary and repetitive...just like this sentence.
It’s not a bad book I just didn’t get out of it what I’d hoped. I preferred The Read Aloud Handbook 7th Edition.

Fully motivated to read aloud more, with new-found knowledge as to why it matters so much. I already did read, but now I know why. I appreciate the book lists too and will reference them often!
