This was excellent. A very encouraging read for anyone who wants to spur others to read more, even if you don’t have children. I was pleasantly surprised by this since I already knew I was on board with the premise of the book and already do a lot of read aloud time.
This book was very informative but it lacked any new information from the podcasts. It’s was easy and fun to read and the writing was really pleasant but I found myself skimming many parts because there were many repeats from the podcast. I did however really enjoyed reading her stories she has throughout the book at the beginning of each of the sections. They were really good, well thought out part of the book.
This was right up my alley, of course. It basically preached about one of my very favorite things to do as a parent with my kids. I don't listen to podcasts, so I knew nothing about this lady previously. She had good insights and obviously has read quite a few books. I probably have read at least half of the same books with my kids, so I'm excited to try some of the ones she mentioned that I haven't read yet.
My 2 teens kind of gave up listening to books with me about a year ago, and this book did make me want to reengage with my older 2 kids again. I spend time with them doing other things, but I do miss our reading time together.

Read it in a day. Perfect book to read right before the kids go back to school! Im encouraged and inspired. I want to get back into our old rhythms and one of them is reading aloud to the kids every night.
The beginning was very insightful, but by the end it was much of the same. The book lists at the end are extremely helpful, and I have a feeling I will turn to them many times.
Such a great book! Very real, practical, and helpful, but painted a vision for the purposes of reading aloud. The booklists were super helpful and now I have a very long list of books to read!
Yes, I finished this book in one day.
The beauty in this book lies in its appeal to parents of children of ALL ages. I found myself greatly encouraged to continue reading aloud to my teens.
Sarah’s simple - yet elegant - writing style make this book a joy to devour in one setting, or to pick up in a few minutes each day as you have time.
The book lists alone make this book worth it, but the rest of the book is just as good.
ALL parents need to read this book!

Inspiring. Uplifting. Encouraging. Enriching. Practical. Go forth and find those ten minutes in the day and read aloud!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this. I checked it out of the local library to read with a book club I am in. I wasn't sure about it since my kids are grown. But so much of this I can use with my grandkids. I will be buying my own copy and adding it to my baby shower gift giving idea list.
