SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT brings back the SUSPENSE series crew but the holidays are not as peaceful as everyone hoped when an enemy targets Sam. I enjoyed seeing all these couples again and seeing where they are now. An action packed read with some sexy moments and found family.

Content Warning: Emily is a cancer survivor and is waiting for test results on whether or not her cancer has returned

I loved returning to the suspense series! It was so fun catching up with some of my favorite Kaylea Cross characters. If you’re a romantic suspense fan I definitely recommend this series!

This was a brilliant story. Full of some of my all-time favourite Kaylea Cross characters, especially Rayne and Christa. Not to mention Christmas cheer, suspense and edge of your seat drama; and I was thoroughly enthralled throughout.

Would definitely recommend.

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I almost did not read this book, as it led me to believe that I had to read the previous books in the series prior to reading Silent Night, Deadly Night. However, a glance at a few reviews from readers who like me never read the previous books, reassured me I would have no issues jumping at book number six. I am glad I did, as this installment can stand on its own. However, after reading it, you will want to read the previous books. This story features all the characters from the other books, and it had me eager to read their stories.

In this installment members of an elite military group and their respective spouses are in preparation mode for a holiday get together at form Navy Seal, turn CIA contractor Luke Hutchinson’s home. However, danger lurks when one of their own received a mysterious envelope containing a flash drive with encrypted data. What followed was a story filled with suspense, action and danger.

I had a wonderful time meeting the characters. Their bond shined throughout the story. Despite not meeting this wonderful group before now I found myself invested in their wellbeing. There were moments when I feared for them and hoped that they would come through unscathed.

The story pulled me in and had me on the edge of my seat for most of it. The action did not let up and had me turning the pages. Amid the suspense and danger, the author delivered some heartwarming and humorous moments that had the reader laughing and tearing up a few times.

Silent Night, Deadly Night was a suspenseful, action-packed and heartwarming Christmas story, which featured awesome characters. If you are in the mood for a short and well written suspenseful story, filled with humour and brimming with emotion, then this would be a great addition to your library.

I actually have not read the 5 prior books and it was mentioned that we should, but I honestly was able to follow along pretty well. It would have been nice to have the background stories of the characters, but it did not really take away from the storyline.

Family and friends are gathering at Luke and Emily’s home for the holidays. A mysterious envelope is mailed to their friend’s, Sam and Ben’s home, Sam is unable to encrypt it on the fly, so they decide to bring it along. This triggers the danger and suspense that this author is so well known for. Even though I do not know all of the parties involved you can feel the closeness and camaraderie between them all. They are a tight knit team and this definitely comes into play when danger tries to take a few of their own.

Silent Night, Deadly Night not only had the nail-biting suspense, but we have this monumental sense of family. There was also a health scare that could have derailed all of this, but they gather around and support each other during the good times and bad times. This was a wonderful novella to read during this holiday season.
