I’m not really sure how I feel about this book. I almost gave up on it multiple times. I think because I was listening to the audio and I didn’t have anything else to listen to right now I went ahead and stuck with it. I don’t think it’s particularly spicy. The “romance” is forced and kinda gross. I may continue with book two just to see some assholes get knocked down a peg but it’ll likely be more torture porn before then.

That was....not a fun time. If I hadn't been listening to the audiobook I most certainly would've DNFd this because like 70% of it was repetitive and annoying.
The plot was fine and interesting enough but nothing to write home to mom about. There wasnt really any big, shocking reveals and even the "cliffhanger" at the end felt extremely predictable.
I like the MMC and his friends fine enough but again, nothing insanely stood out about them.
Now...the FMC. I don't know that i've ever been so outstandingly annoyed by an FMC as I was with her. I tried my hardest to sympathize with her situation, but even after catastrophic consequences took place for her actions, NOTHING changed. She had no development whatsoever.
And seriously, if the MMC says, "no one touches what's mine" one more time. He seriously said it so many more times than was enjoyable.
I sadly do NOT recommend this book. D:

While I like the plot and the writing is good, the mmc is horrific. I love a good morally gray character but this mmc is truly horrific to the fmc. Their relation is beyond toxic and he is so abusive. Im so mad that he's clearly end game with fmc cause he has abused her so much and there is no backstreet or motivation that would make his abusiveness okay and something the fmc should ever accept. I've heard the written version of the book has a content warning and im very disappointed the audio version does not. I would not recommend this series at this point knowing the mmc is this horrific and abusive and still end game. Enemies to lovers does not equate abusive relationships.
