Incredible worldbuilding. Gods, power structures, Fae beneath a higher race, I was so intrigued. And then the male characters opened their mouths.
It’s giving Zodiac Academy, where the men are just as bad even though the writing is better. The love interest was emotionally abusive with zero charm, and the pet names? “Baby doll” and “little one” should be illegal in this context.
Theon really felt like he should’ve been the antagonist. Honestly, I still think he might be, but I won’t be continuing the series to find out.

4🌟 very unique interesting story with complicated characters, i love series where characters have a lot of growth to do However theon i absolutely hate your guts right now... i kept expecting him to turn over a new leaf and stop basically treating tessa like a dog but no❤️ i'm hoping the development pays off. but a really unique take on a romantasy, overall i did really like this, torn between 4🌟 and 3.75🌟 so if you see me change it in the next few days no you didnt xx

3.5 stars for me!! Maybe my 6th sense wasn't 6th sensing on this one. Started off so so strong and I was like omgggg this is goood. The MCC was scrumptious and I thought it would be sooo good. But then as we went on, it started feeling a little repetitive, and then very lack of action and plot. Super dialogue focused and like literally not much happened. It was mainly Tessa and Theon's relationship, they fell flat. Started so so strong, Tessa lowkey got kinda annoying. Ugh. This world was so cool but it just started losing stars as we kept going. Definitely gonna continue series bc I feel like it has some crazy potential, and all my favorite fantasy series actually don't have the best first book so maybe this is it. not my favorite, but not bad at all either!
700 page book that could’ve been 400 pages. it was just a rinse repeat every chapter and i LOVED the beginning and was so excited to read it but then it was soooo repetitive. and everyone is soooo unlikable. worst mmc ever and ik she has trauma but the fmc was also insufferable
