Thank you Net Galley for giving me this arc for my honest review!

Four teens dabble in witch craft to do some good, but it turns awry quick as they start seeing things and everything starts going very wrong. I love witchy/spooky comics/manga and I really enjoyed this one! I think it might be one of my favorites this year! I'll definitely be rereading and buying a copy for Halloween TBR. It was a really fun, quick read. The characters were so cool and I loved each of them with their own unique depths and personalities. I loved the lgbtq+ representation in this book as well as the diversity, we don't get a lot of this in books and it was really refreshing. The art was so cool and I enjoyed every page of it, again, one of my favorites. I would absolutely love more of these characters from this author!

Rating: 4/5 stars!

i didn't love the ending (also do check cw especially for a depiction of suicide) but i really enjoyed the art style and these characters, it was fun and made me laugh. i enjoyed watching these girls do a ritual gone wrong and figuring it out with enough of personal life mixed in throughout the story. it felt too fast paced in some areas and maybe could've used a longer story to give more character development that made sense.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
this was a super fun graphic novel about a group of 4 friends who explore witchcraft together.
the illustrations were beautiful and the story moved quickly. there were tons of horror/spooky easter eggs thrown around which were fun to try and find.
there were some tense moments without being scary and definitely an opening for a prequel or subsequent book about what happens next.
great diversity throughout and gave late 80's/90's vibes without being cringy or corny while following a group of high school teens.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this ARC!!

Overall this was a 2.5-3 star read for me. I enjoyed the premise of this book and the witchy vibes but overall it just wasn't for me. I felt like the main characters were a bit hard to connect with and the pacing could have been better. Some sections felt added in for no reason and then other sections I wanted a little more time and build up on. The art work was cool, though not my style. I always love me a friendship story but overall this was an okay read for me.

This would probably definitely read better as a physical book versus e-book!

This is a fun read for all the fans of Buffy and all the 90's teen-witches-in-training series. Nothing groundbreaking but rather felt like an homage to the genre, a decent adventure with some really creepy parts, a lot of familiar tropes. I really liked the plenty of easter egg references to other witchy or horror or fantasy movies.

It was an interesting twist on the genre though to have the girls already familiar with witchcraft and also having been friends for a long time, so coming up with a ritual felt all natural to them, even though until the beginning of this story it had never get any real. I think it's quite fitting for the contemporary setting as nowadays witchcraft is getting quite mainstream.

I was happy to see some difficult situations handled and discussed and reflected on well on page.

I think the art style needs some development though, it feels like the illustrator hasn't found their style yet. Also, I felt conflicted about the palette, often I felt no harmony but some pages do look amazing. Also, sometimes the perspective seemed off even though the artist used variable angles very often and a lot of times nailed it so I was confused whenever they didn't. I really liked the pages that separated the chapters and the representation of the goddesses during the ritual were amazing, like I'd-have-them-tattooed-on-me amazing, so it's clear that the artist has talent and skill. Also, there were some really creative panel structures.

I recommend this to anyone who craves for a funny teen witches adventure or just looking for a light read for spooky season.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing the ARC.

This is a fun coming of age witchy tale, particularly if (like me) you were obsessed with The Craft when it released!

Nicely illustrated, and whilst the story could easily expand in places, that's part of it being a graphic novel I suspect

I received an advance copy for free from NetGalley, on the expectation that I would provide an honest review.
