Signal Boost is the second book in the Off The Grid series set in a semi post apocalyptic America after the electrical grid goes down. This one follows John, who is growing restless hiding out with his family in their secluded home. He meets Mykhail, a scientist looking to travel to his university to help restore the electrical grid. John is very attracted to Mykhail and jumps at the opportunity to travel with him.

This book had so much more exploration of the post apocalyptic world than the first book which I loved. I also really liked both the main characters and their romance. There’s one more book in this series and I’m still intrigued by the world enough to read it.

A fun, quick, don't-think-about-it-too-hard read, with a pleasantly diverse cast (multiple different non-white characters! LGBTQ characters!). Read the whole series in one day.

I really liked this one! MLM romance with asexual rep. Not sure how I feel about how the asexuality was portrayed in this one, but I know it’s a spectrum and I’d be curious how people who are ace feel about it.

I loved John and Michael! Their relationship was so sweet and they were both fully fleshed out. The plot also got more interesting as far as the reason for the worldwide blackout and we experienced more of the outside world in this story. There’s some seriously heavy content in this one so be sure to check out the content warnings.

Great ideas and well thought out, didn’t like it as much as the previous one but was happy he got his own book.
Felt like it finished a bit abruptly; I kept forgetting that id finished the book and  thinking I had more to listen to, so maybe not the most satisfying summary.
