Denver, a bush pilot, has always been the playboy, jokester Bailey. When his mentor at Lifetime Adventures dies, Chip leaves the company to Denver and his daughter, Cloe. Cloe is a pampered princess who didn't spend much time with Chip growing up. Cloe, however, doesn't have money of her own and has trouble keeping a job. Neither Denver or Cloe can afford to buy each other out, and the company is going down the toilet. They decide to work together to bring it back to profitability. Chip had contacted a reality show before he died, and they are granted a test episode.

Denver and Cloe go from being at each other's throats to working together and becoming more. Denver settles down for the first time in his life. But then they get sent into a tailspin. Can they pull out of it?

It was great to see Denver become responsible and reliable. And, as always, it was great to visit with the Baileys and catch up on all the "news."

I genuinely thought this was an older book based on the cover until she said she ‘caught feels’. I paused to look at the publication date and was surprised to see it was only 2019.

This book had the potential to be so fun. They take people out into the wilderness for a living and all of the drama happened in town. Womp womp.

Love this series

I wasn't sure they could win me over with Denver but I was proven wrong. Once I understood the reasons why he acted the way he did the pieces fell in place. I actually feel bad for thinking he was just lazy. I'll never look at a goldfish, hell any animal, now without thinking of this guy. Add in Chloe, who was perfect for him in every dang way and this was a match made in heaven. I like that the authors have them both something in common , as painful as it was, and helped them both come to terms with what they lost. As said as it was, I liked that Denver was the veteran in grief, and knew how to help Chloe find herself and find acceptance.

I'm eagerly awaiting Phoenix and her story. I have every single one of these books preordered because this family is life. It's real, it's heartfelt, it's something that could happen anywhere and to anyone, and it's become family. I highly recommend this series.

Oh how I love the Bailey family. They are all so wonderful, but Denver is my favorite! He is the playboy that will never get married, never fall in love, and never get married! That is until Cleo falls into his life. This book has all the feels and funnies that you would expect from Piper Rayne! I absolutely loved all of the descriptive parts of Alaska, felt like I was actually there.

I liked this a lot. The way they get stuck together was very pointed, and the fact they each have mistaken assumptions that make them hate one another just made it fun.
