This book was absolutely fantastic! I was wondering how Holly Jackson would build on the first book and she did it perfectly. Every character, plot point and plot twist were written in the best way possible. I felt every emotion while reading this book.
From relief when I found out that Jamie was alive; to dread when Stanley died.
Overall, this book was wonderful and I can't wait to read the one.

Wow. I really didn’t expect this book to make me cry after reading the first one and bawling my eyes out (y’all who have read it know what chapter I’m talking about). I loved seeing everything unfold in the last few chapters. Just when I thought I was one step ahead of the author she threw me a curb, but I loved the thrill of it. Once again, she managed to make me trust someone who I shouldn’t have trusted, and I got my feelings hurt. I particularly liked how the culprit wasn’t a particularly good person but it was easy to understand their motives. This book really showed how no person is fully bad or good. Speaking of that, we NEED to talk about Pip’s character growth. I LOVED IT. It’s amazing to see how she’s changed from the first book. She’s finally breaking away from her mold and becoming such an independent and capable person. I love her for that and can’t wait to see what she does next in “As Good As Dead.” I’ve heard many people say that the third book is the best in the series so I have high hopes. Here’s to hoping I’m not disappointed.

Amazingly well-written. Very little could top the first book in the series… but Holly Jackson’s narrative style and knack for Sherlock Holmes-ing the mystery certainly continues in the sequel.

Wow. I really felt this book was going to be a dud compared to the first installment into the series, but I was pleasantly surprised. The beginning seemed really slow to me and I thought that the whole investigation was being drawn out until one point, then the plot was so fast paced and insane I was struggling to keep up. In a good way! I highly recommend and I'm excited for the third book in September!
