"i look forward to the day when Parvana's journey and the whole breadwinner series is not a reflection of a brutal reality, but reads instead like some long-ago fictional fairy tale, a story out of the past that we have put far behind us" - Deborah Ellis

I first read this book at a very young age and It has been stuck with me since then. I remembered the title till this very day, and I knew I HAD to read it again. So I here I did, and I knew it was worthwhile since I finished the book in literally a day. It is so good and so realistic of what's happening in the world. It really opens your eyes and I swear, everyone must read this. I think that if you read it at a young age you will feel more effected and moved by it like I did.

Read this with my daughter.
She absolutely loved it.
I thought it was depressing as hell.
But
It really was written very well - gives you a look into what it's like trying to live and grow up in a country that's been in a constant state of war for the past 30 years.

i enjoyed this story, though at most points it was really sad. these three children had to live off the streets and had to be careful of the land mines placed everywhere

Globalni ciljevi: druga kultura, nastavak serijala
