GURL the cover and title rly ain’t it BUT im glad i read it as part of the crowns of Nyaxia series, cuz it was GOOODDD. (The cover art is srsly giving blue barbarians of the north (I can’t rmb the title of that one book with an equally salacious book cover) and omg it felt like I was picking up one of those weird monster porno books

If Carissa Broadbent has zero fans, I’m dead.
3 ⭐️ I think I would’ve liked this book more if I wasn’t in such a reading slump, but here we are. This standalone fell flat to me compared to Raihn & Oraya’s duology. I would’ve enjoyed more crossover between this book and theirs. I also felt like there were some ideas/subplots that were copy and pasted from The War of Lost Hearts series and it would’ve been more interesting if they were interconnected vs reimagined for this series. The ending felt rather unfinished, but I’m assuming we’ll tie up the loose ends in Mische’s duology. Overall I would still recommend reading if you’re a fan of the series.
3.5⭐️
i didn’t love this but still enjoyed it none the less
didn’t think i’d say this but i felt there wasn’t enough vampireness? i liked atrius but the way he acted and was described, it was like he was just a proper strong guy who could fight with horns on his head

This is my least fav of her books at this point, BUT I did still enjoy it! Just hits the bottom in my ranking. I can't see myself ever re-reading like I have with the others, but I could see others enjoying it!
