What a cute little book.

I get that it's a novella, but I really needed MORE. More description, more backstory, more Silver and Tobias.

Short but good read. A love story that isn't normally depicted in books- I enjoyed it for a quick read before bed.

Brisk, breezy little novella. The character of Henry Silver is by far the best part of this, and his mother is a strong close second. The narrator is a lot like a tree -- a little distant and imposing, but offers a protective shelter from which the reader sits and absorbs the story.

Cute palette cleanser

No review. Only unintelligible noises.

The writing??? The depth of story given the length??? The characters so admirable it takes a page to get hooked??? Holy fuck, I can't do this. I CAN'T. IT'S TOO BEAUTIFUL. I AM IN TEARS. FUCK.

A solid little novella! I absolutely love stories about the Green Man so this was right up my alley. I was so thrown off by the middle point of the other love interest but it kept the story moving! Really enjoyed overall.

"At once slow deep green rolled over him. He took a breath, and another, smelling old rotting leaves and healthy growth and autumn light. He felt almost as though he could have planted his feet and become a tree himself, a strong oak reaching up to the sky, brother of the old oak who ruled the wood."

What a perfectly atmospheric and beautifully written novella. Reading this story was truly like wandering through a sunlit, fairytale forest—blissfully slow, all-encompassing, totally immersive, and truly magical from beginning to end.
