There should be a completely different genre for starry-eyed teen philosophies, because I am ashamed to call this "poetry".

Oh dear, these poems are terrible.

I am mostly torn between laughing my ass off or banging my head on the wall. The poems are just too plain and cheesy like it is written by some 12 year old kid who is only fond of rhyming words even if it doesn't make much sense.

Now, I'm not a poet or anything but I've read the works of some great poets and absolutely adore their works. And one of the main problem with this book, as far as I could tell, is that it is not carefully thought of. It seemed like it is written in the spur of the moment, without much searching for that right word, right effect and right emotion.

Anyway there are some decent parts though...

I saw the price of this book and my eyes nearly pop-out of their sockets. Such price for a waste of trees. Anyway, the drawings are pretty cool though.

At least it's short. Not much time wasted in reading this maudlin drivel - and 2 stars because at least it's so terrible it's funny. I hope future work is an improvement.

i really wanted to like this but the childish overtones i couldn’t get into it felt very flat , i like maybe one or two pieces but truly was not my cup of tea and that’s ok

I picked this book up thinking it would make me feel better and it was so bad that I called my sister and cried.

Lang’s words always touch me, I find that I get one of her works whenever my heart is in a funny place.
There was something missing, i honestly don’t know what, which is the reason for the 4 star. But, having said that I love this set. In my copy pages are marked, poems annotated with my feelings, a few made me tear up. I’d recommend reading Lang’s work to anyone who wants to feel- and that should be everyone.

It was good.
Although, I was hoping for a bit more seeing that this has high ratings.
I felt that some of them doesn't make sense at all... or it's also possible that they do make sense, but I'm just too stupid to get it...

I'm reading [b:Lullabies|22151696|Lullabies|Lang Leav|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1404192714s/22151696.jpg|41496977] which is so far, is better than this one.
