Oh, this was bad. This was really bad. I see so many people love this book, and I absolutely love that for them, but... yikes. This was a rough read.
I went into Learning Curve wanting an easy and stupid read. I wanted something quick, something light, and something like a palate cleanser. Maybe I set myself up for failure with that one, but this book was so far below expectations, I feel a little winded.
Vincent is written in ways that remind me of FMCs from fanctiction I would read when I was in my pre/early teens. Vincent was a shallow, unpleasant, and consistently blushy Y/N. Cobey had about as much depth as a kiddie pool. He was.... nice. Kind. A pleasant person. That's all you'll ever see from him. All you'll ever get from him.
Even if I looked beyond the panful MCs, reading this book felt like I was watching a bad movie at 5x the speed. Nothing happened, then everything happened all at once. Things moved at an uncomfortable, unnatural speed and it felt like every conversation was just tripping over itself to get to the next one. The last 40% of the book felt like the summary of a plot, rather than the actual story being carried out.
Rough. It was just rough. I need a nap.

If you’re in the mood for zero angst and a sweeter than could possibly be real MC, read this! My fave of the series and maybe my fave college, jock/nerd ever.
