I wasn't sure what I was getting into with this book... I didn't really read the synopsis (and I wasn't a huge fan of Garron Park), so I just kind of held my breath and cracked that spine.

I'm glad I did. This is a nice little dark comedy with truly some of the best spice I've read in a while. It's all very emotional and serves a purpose it's often difficult to serve in dark comedic romances (or at all). There's a lot of psychological exploration that matters during the spicy time while it also informs our characters' development throughout the book. This type of emotional/psychological connection during is sorely missing from this genre (romance), and was a welcome sight in Little Demon.

Overall, the characters are all fleshed out and interesting--and I think there is definite potential for additional books if Night ever wants to turn this into a series because the side characters are all intriguing and worth a deeper dive. I also liked the little mystery we're solving throughout the story.

Read it, demon. Thank me later.

Blake and Mercer have the best, brattiest and sexiest relationship. The teasing, flirting and playing was very fun between them. The story felt a bit drawn out. The spice level is perfect! I loved how Ben/Mercer grew as a person.

This book was just horny and good if that’s what you’re wanting?? It’s what I wanted at the time

This was exactly what I wanted when I downloaded it. This book is ridiculous and over the top and smutty to all hell, but I loved it. I loved the dynamic between Blake and Mercer so much. I do think it was a little longer than necessary, but overall a super solid read. If you love Onley James, this is definitely the book for you. It very much gave Unhinged vibes (in the best way obvs).

Little Demon in the Details is a wonderfully entertaining grumpy/sunshine romance between a demanding brat Mercer and his gruff and stoic protector Blake. Together they are just magic, I love how captivated both characters are by the mere presence of each other. They are devoted to protecting and owning the other, which creates many steamy moments of control, dominance, and utter desperation.

Mercer is one complicated character. He is the youngest in his family and doesn't get any recognition, attention, or love from anyone, which makes Blake the perfect solution to all of his inner turmoil. Blake is tasked with protecting Mercer from imminent threats, which is the central plot of the story. Together Blake and Mercer go on quite an intense journey where they learn to depend, trust, and completely devote themselves to one another.

I found this story addicting from beginning to end. I love the push/pull dynamics of these two characters and how feral and possessive they are with one another. Such a fun read that made me sad when it finished.

***I reviewed a complimentary copy of this story.***

I so rarely give books a full five stars, but this story deserves every one of them. I felt like the plot vs BDSM aspects were well balanced and also handled in a really healthy way. Blake is the biggest green flag (a little psycho but not towards Mercer which is really all that matters) and Mercer is a sweet traumatized brat who just needs some love and therapy.

My one small problem is that at the end of the book the author has Mercer wearing a fedora which is probably the worst thing that he could do, and considering how style conscious Mercer can be, I firmly believe that this was just a fever dream and that I’m going to ignore it.

So many people love and swear by this book, I wish I could, I hate to not finish a book (this year only happen 5 times in more than 100+ books)

I like to think I have a high bullshit tolerance, but this one was bad...

We met Blake - his an assassin, a highly trained and respected criminal (sounds promising) out of nowhere he decides to save Mercer, our other main Mc even without knowing if that will benefit him.
His name should be blank, because that's his personality, blank. He's only there so be whatever Mercer needs.

Mercer - such a brat (in a bad way). He's one of the most unlikable characters I ever read. He's truly a bad person who likes to do annoying shit for the sake of it. Yeah, he went through a lot but at what point that stops being an acceptable excuse to being shitty?

This book is a porn trying to be a book, I just couldn't read more s*x scenes. Wish I could give it a better note...
