This really got me out of my reading slump. I can’t believe that ending. That was definitely a shock.

Maybe my favorite of the series

Omg, Giulio and Alessio were great. Giulio had the best heart when we met him in Mafia Mistress. The best obedient child to his capo dad. In this book, you see Giulio’s grow into a man you never expected, he is dangerous, assertive and surprise by his attraction to Alessio, the guy that was paid to unalive him. Alessio never expected to feel attracted to his target, but as they navigate through this, there’s other threats in their way that will make it impossible for them to be together. This was my very first MM mafia romance. Totally recommended!

Mila Finelli (The Kings of Italy, #4)

“Ti amo, assassino.”
Bending, I pressed a soft kiss to his swollen lips. “Ti amo, Don Ravazzani.”

Alessio's never failed at a job before–until it came to Giulio Ravazzani, a man he is absolutely not supposed to want and is in fact, supposed to kill.

Tropes:
– MM Romance
– Forbidden (he's hired to kill him!)
– Mafia romance

I initially picked this up only because I wanted to read [b:Mafia Virgin|182687651|Mafia Virgin (The Kings of Italy #5)|Mila Finelli|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1699262740l/182687651._SY75_.jpg|144614330] and needed some background but holy, this was so good. I almost never (this is probably my first) see MM in mafia romance so this was amazing and refreshing to read. Seriously, so good. I loved Giulio and Alessio so much. I loved the way Alessio was obsessed, so very obsessed, that he spent months stalking Giulio instead of killing him because he literally physically was unable to bring any arm to him. It was so cute to see how much he was longing for him all while being such a deadly, ruthless assassin.

Once these two actually gave into their attraction to one another, this book was straight fire. Spice for days. I loved every single scene because it actually contributed to emotional character development and a little extra just for fun too. Also, they didn't hide how much they were feeling for one another, which I loved. I was so surprised when that "Ti amo" fell out of Alessio's lips so easily after that scene on the boat, but seeing how Giulio just softened and said it back like it was so obvious, so easy, so elemental to love him back was everything.

They were just the sweetest couple–I was not expecting this at all–with hidden domesticity. Giulio with his cooking skills and affinity for giving orders and Alessio who did everything, anything that Giulio asked of him and groveled like a pro when the time came. The best part for me was the nicknames, which made me giggle and kick my feet every single time Giulio said amore and Alessio said prinicipe like how cute!!! They were precious.

This was so good, so good, so. frickin. good. I loved everything about their relationship. I'm excited to read [b:Mafia Virgin|182687651|Mafia Virgin (The Kings of Italy #5)|Mila Finelli|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1699262740l/182687651._SY75_.jpg|144614330] because those tropes are *chefs kiss*.

I’ve been waiting for Giulio’s happy ending since the first book and this didn’t disappoint. This was some serious enemies to lovers with Alessio hired to kill Giulio and then falling for him!
Giulio has left the mafia in order to protect his father and his new family but there seems to always been a hit out on his life. Alessio is a sniper/ assassin who was hired to kill Giulio’s father but Alessio was so distracted by Giulio when he first saw him that he missed and Giulio’s father lived. Aww how sweet, so distracted that he couldn’t shot straight and kill his dad. Only in a mafia romance!
I can’t wait for the next one, I’ve heard so many good things about Mafia Virgin!

DID NOT FINISH: 23%

I don't speak Italian at all and there are a huge amount of Italian words and expressions in this one. Some are being translated or explained, many of them not and it just ruined the expe ience for me.

It's not a bad book at all! I liked the world building, both MCs and the narration, if you don't mind all the Italian you might be in for a treat. Repeatedly not being able to understand what I heard just didn't work for me.
