I liked the stories of Arjun and Pippa, but this was so juvenile, and then suddenly matures 3/4 of the way through, and then it’s a cliffhanger… and just feels manipulative…

I'm gonna be honest, I kind of forgot about this series, and so I went in having forgotten everything but the fact that I loved the first two books and there were vampires. And this book... was a little disappointing. It was alright. Fast and easy to read, some fun things. I completely forgot about Odette because her whole problem stops existing after the prologue, which was unfortunate because as soon as I read her name I remembered that she existed as a character and that there was a found family aspect of the series that I liked. I was excited to be in the world of the fairies, but maybe it was explored more in book 2 because it was not that interesting. Pippa was fine, I barely remembered she existed. I don't remember if the other books did this but she (and then some other characters) would keep going on monologues about how unfair and prejudiced the world is and yes, I understand, but you don't need to throw it in my face every single chapter. So many authors do that these days and the least they could do is be subtle about it instead of turning it into a lecture. Everything other than that was just fine, but I kind of wanted more between Pippa and Arjun. I could not bring myself to care if (when) they ended up falling for each other.

I hope that the last book has more Celine and Bastien.

The third book in the “Beautiful” series did not let me down.

In contrast to the first two novels, Arjun and Pippa are the main characters of Book 3. Pippa is desperate to find her friend and ensure her safety after Celine and Bastien vanished. As part of her quest, she follows Arjun Desai into Sylvan Vale through a hole, where she quickly learns that a mortal is not safe in the domain of the fae. Will Arjun be able to save them both when they are forced into a situation neither of them anticipated?

I thought it was great to see some of the other characters, and I thought Arjun and Pippa had such great chemistry. Although Celine and Bastien are still prominent, the focus of this novel is primarily on the fae realm rather than the vampire realm.

Like the first two books, this one feels darker, and the world-building and storytelling are amazing, engrossing, and comprehensive.

I can’t wait to get stuck in the next book, and it’s definitely got fans who love the fantasy and faerie worlds.
