I’ve been waiting for this thinking it was the last in the series, but it’s a double edge sword to find out there is to be another, yay there’s another but I have to wait again ! These books are fantastic, I am biased as I don’t think Renee can write a bad word, let alone book. The book is mainly set in the fae world of the Sylvan Vale , I definitely missed New Orleans, but it was interesting to get a different world view and this one felt slower than the previous two in the series, definitely more character than plot driven and whilst the characters are as fascinating as always, I can’t help but miss Celine and Sebastien, I just didn’t connect with Arjun and Pippa as much. Overall, I still love this series and it’s still a good read, but I can’t wait for the next book and hopefully more Celine and Sebastien.

NOOOO. I wanted to like this book so much. I was so excited to have the story of Pippa and Arjun and see where that took us. But unfortunately they are victims of a different narrative. I feel like if the book had only been about Pippa and Arjun and not still had the underlying tones of the rest of the series, I would have been much happier. But to end it in that way really did the couple dirty. Don't get me wrong, I am going to read the last book in the series to see how it all ends, but I wish it had been different.
