I was not a fan of this book. It was slow. The characters were way too analytical and because of the plot, it felt like nothing happened. No progress was made, only characters thinking about things. It felt like a set up to the next book. And it all took place in like a week, which I’m not a fan of personally unless it’s done well. Maybe I’m just not a fan of this series of hers. I just know I won’t be reading the next installment.
I loathe Pippa - this story was the equivalent of Alice falling into Wonderland, then blaming everyone else for her predicament. It did not make for enjoyable reading.
My first book of the year! And an enforcer of my favorite book rule, to tell a good romance writer do not look at the main ship of the story, alway look at the sub ship! Which is def the case for this little romp through fairyland. Arjun and Pippa are a deeply enjoyable turn from the always active angst of main couple Celine and Bastian.
This was a nice quick read, really showcasing Ahdieh’s talent for writing sexual tension and character dynamics. I highly recommend picking it up

An excellent continuation to a fun series. This quartet reminds me of reading paranormal romances back in high school in the BEST way. And as the series goes on the plot has only gotten more complex. I can’t wait to see how this series is going to wrap up. Also THAT ENDING.
