if i had to go specific this is like 3.75 stars for me. creepy, unnerving, and slow moving. sometimes too slow moving. sometimes the three person povs worked well, other times it felt a bit lackluster— lucy's especially, which is a shame considering her role in the story. she just didn't provide any answers in her sections and for the most part her chapters came off as filler.

very interesting how unreliable henry's pov is. ultimately i was satisfied with the ending but one of the characters had an ending that wasn't resolved in a way that felt good to read, in that he wasn't dug into enough at the end despite it clearly being set up that there's more to him in the last few chapters.

overall a good read!
