I do not think this is a bad book. This is actually probably a very very good book. I can appreciate Smith's intelligence and her ability to write London and complex characters seemingly with ease, but I really struggled with this style. I felt a deep disconnect with all of the characters. I wish this novel had gone further with the friendship between Leah and Keisha/Natalie. Felix's section would make a brilliant short story. The rest of it just didn't hit the spot for me unfortunately. Think I'm more of a plot-driven reader. Still love Zadie Smith and appreciate what is trying to be done here.

I was enjoying it quite a bit but it lost a star for being massively anti-climactic.
