It had some nice moments, but they were far and few. At times I had a hard time following the characters specially when the crossed the stories.
The characters were fine but I never got too invested in them so it didn't hit me hard enough.

The pacing of the book ebbs and flows. I found it interesting how the opinion of Leah & Natalie can change based on who's narrative you're reading, it made me reflect on how opinions in life are very subjective and individually we are more concerned with ourselves and we see things very differently. I really enjoyed the background we get in Natalie's section. I wish there was more to Felix's part. The side characters are amazingly well written, particularly Annie, she stuck with me. Zadie Smith describes and depicts the surroundings beautifully, it's easy to visualise where she's set every scene, and it was very fun to get into NW London around carnival. I found it hard to follow in the beginning with the switch of prose, but it got a lot easier the more I read on.
The ending felt semi rushed, and slightly unfinished, like there could have been a lot more said, or they could have reached a bigger destination.
Overall, an interesting read, I would recommend for a relatively quick read.
