This book was amazing, but the epilogue really did me in. I'm sad for this series to end, I'm crying.

Hail Mary is Leo and Mary's story, and the final book in the Red Zone Rivals series. Tropes: enemies to lovers, forced proximity (neighbors then roommates), second chance, slow burn. Spice: 3-3.5/5. Mary and Leo are next door neighbors, and she despises him from the beginning. When a burst pipe at her house ends up with her begrudgingly moving in with Leo and 2 other football players, to say Mary is unhappy about it is an understatement. The guys grow on her, but her grudge against Leo persists. He just cannot understand why that is, especially when he knows she feels the same attraction to him as he does to her. Things eventually come to a head, and Leo is floored by Mary's revelation. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is a big part of their story which you will have to read for yourself.
Hail Mary is a slow burn, and the tension between Leo and Mary is intense. There is plenty of angst, pining, and banter, and once the the spice hits, it delivers in a big way. I liked Mary and the way she had grown to become unapologetically herself, and Leo was the sweetest golden retriever MMC with a filthy mouth and just the right amount of cockiness. He worked hard to break down Mary's walls, and what a payoff for the readers when he finally did. Hail Mary was a great book and a wonderful ending to the series.

Hail Mary by Kandi Steiner
What an ending to the Red Devils series! I’m as obsessed with Mary and Leo as i’ve been with all the couples, and am truly sad to be leaving them behind now the books are done.
Mary, our alternative, gamer obsessed roommate of Julep from Quarterback Sneek, moves into the Snake Pit when her apartment has flooding damage, being left with no choice than to bunk up with her hated enemy, Leo fucking Hernandez. Little does Leo remember who Mary really is, and why there is so much fury behind her gaze when she looks at him. As the two fight to stay apart despite the sizzling chemistry between them, Leo will stop at nothing to woo over Mary as the truth crashes between them.
I adored Mary, the way she dressed, gamed like nobodies business, tatted to the nines and a soft spot for homeless cats, shes a girl after my own heart. The story between her and Leo was heartbreaking and i’m so glad it didn’t take the full book to understand what really happened! The book again tackled difficult topics, including harassment at work, and once again Kandi writes it beautifully and tastefully, giving the full power to our FMC.
I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I just realized that it ends at 363, i’m not sure if i should just finish but honestly it’s a whatever book. He barely remembered what was so traumatizing for her
Mary and Leo were my least favorite of the group. I don’t think I connected well enough to the back story between Mary and Leo. It seemed like such a big deal to Mary what happened. And in the end it felt like she brushed it off.
Overall enjoyed the angst and watching Mary achieve her dream! It was fun to watch Leo try and figure out Mary. Overall the conflict/issue just fell flat for me. Still enjoyed the book though!

Anyone who has been bullied in high school (it's me, hi
This story was an emotional rollercaoster that I wish I could stay on forever. It was an experience I will never get over. All the Red Zone Rivals books have been amazing, but this couple just hit differently. I loved their backstory, no matter how heartbreaking it was. I loved how they met, I loved their back and forth banter, and I loved how they finally came together. It’s going to be so hard to move on to my next book because I don't think I'll be able to get over falling in love with Leo Hernandez and this whole story! The best advice I can give for someone wondering about starting this book is to go in knowing nothing about it and going along for the amazing ride because you will not regret it!
