Enemy to lover is my favorite I was giggling like a teenager. Kandi Steiner did that. Kandi Steiner gave us Badass girls a gamer, a bookworm, and a football player, I needed a friendship as they have it.
Mary and Leo met through a video game during their summer break, they built their relationship without him knowing how she looks and who she is, in the other hand Mary know who he was when she saw his username playing online. The first part of this book breaks my heart. If I could have hugged Mary during this chapter and I was on the bus I wanted to scream into my pillow, tell me I'm not the only one.
The Red Zone Rivals made me fall with each ML, But Leo Hernandez mister are you sure you are fictional? he groveled, he is so vulnerable with Mary as if she makes him talk and show is true color no matter what conversation they have.
Also Mary is so much like her mother, I laugh so much at the end. I wanted to fight this woman but she loves her daughter and she’s so funny, mama is an indepandant woman and we like that.

I needed this so badly and I loved the plus size rep in this book. It’s always hard to find female characters to relate to in romance books and in a way, this made me think that things will be okay. Mary is one of my absolute favorite female characters. She’s plus sized and tattooed and just so cool. Leo is the kind of guy everyone falls for and their interaction in high school was VERY reminiscent of my own experience so seeing them end up together was so cute (and steamy MY GOD). I know I’ve read these books out of order but I loved this one so so much.

I had a really hard time believing Leo spent an entire summer talking with a girl named Mary who wanted to be a tattoo artist and was a gamer and when he met a Mary covered in tattoos working as a tattoo apprentice and was a gamer he couldn't figure out she is the girl he is pining for.

I feel like I have a tendency to give the last book the best rating. And this is no exception. It’s a culmination of all the love you’ve developed for the characters as they come together one last time.
Mary living at the Pit was great, as it allowed a chance to see the guys more. Also she really had the girl squad, so we saw them again. Little bits of all we loved from the previous books all came together here.
And Leo. Oh Leo. Player with a heart of gold.
This is a second chance romance, and while I’ll always say it’s not my favorite trope, Kandi did a great job with this one. It also isn’t just that. It’s roommates. It’s enemies to lovers. And the spice was on fire, as always.

Hail Mary is the 4th book in the Red Zone Rivals series and follows Mary and Leo. It was so bittersweet getting to the end of the Red Zone Rivals series but this book seriously is the cherry on top of the cake. We get to see our beloved found family trope play out in this book and it is so so sweet and cozy getting to revisit our favorite characters.
Kandi's writing is so captivating, I felt like I was literally in The Pit with the players and their girls. Mary is literally my dream woman. I will never get over her. She is badass and cool and funny and seriously, can I be best friends with her?
Leo is just an overall angel. Except with a way dirtier mouth. He will sweep you off your feet with his sweet talk and loyal, caring personality. I adored everything about that man.
I was lucky enough to beta read this and I already cannot wait to reread the entire series... this was def be a forever comfort series for me <3

3.5⭐️s. A very mid book for me. Clay is still king of the series but I enjoyed Leo and Mary. Mary is probably my favorite female character of the series. She’s so confident, badass, and independent I loved it. And Leo was just there the whole time, supporting her, respecting her, cheering her on I loved it. Plus size FMC which we LOVEEEEEE. I’m sad this series is coming to an end honestly. I’ve really enjoyed it, and can’t wait to read more my Ms Steiner. Alsoooo I really appreciated that the MMC was POC, but she did it in a way that was tasteful, and didn’t give me the ick coming from a yt woman. Over all I definitely enjoyed it.
I really liked this, but personally I would’ve wanted more time of them actually dating.. but the banging was fun i suppose. I also didn’t realize this was a book four so maybe I’ll go back and read one of the other ones.
3.5 ⭐️I LOVE Leo Hernandez he delivered in all the ways I wanted him to and while I loved the tension and banter in the first part of the book I could have done without the overly dramatic third act breakup.
