I had trouble getting into this one but there was a lot to enjoy once I did!
I liked how characters from first three books showed up.
I liked the back story of the MCs.
3.5 stars. I might have expected a bit more?! Loved the female MC and all the tattoo shop plot!

Leo Hernandez delivers! The swoons, the heart, the tender feelings- and holy moly the orgasms! I could not put this heart-aching and heartwarming story down! Brimming with Kandi’s signature charm, Hail Mary perfectly combines Kandi’s page-turning angst with her heartfelt and swoony sincerity..in perhaps the most unexpected of Rivals pairings. I fell madly in love with this addictively enchanting love story. The chemistry! The heartache! The tender and authentic connection between these two! The emotively rich prose!! Kandi Steiner truly scores with this perfect finale to the Red Zone Rivals series- not only with an endearing final couple but also with the perfect conclusion for the entire crew. My heart is deliriously happy and full of love for this series! I am simply obsessed- what a bittersweet but lovable finale.

I did anticipate this couple to charm me so intensely - could Leo transform from cocky, take nothing seriously sidekick into a leading man? Could we find a path underneath Mary’s hardened defenses and cutting disinterest? But trust in Kandi- not only does she deliver a moving second chance romance full of swoony redemption, but she also deepens both of these characters into compelling and magnetic leads, while staying true to the edges we’ve seen. They are perfect to each other, while on the surface being total opposites. And they have so many barriers to overcome, most of all of painful and festering past. Mary is a queen- fierce and independent and so so brave. I love her- I admire her! And Leo- holy moly! This jokester is a swoony dream book boyfriend. The wooing! The grovel! His charm! His dirty mouth! My goodness he stole my whole heart! Their chemistry and connection POURS from the pages. The emotional energy radiates. And oh my the spice!

Every character we love has a meaningful role and moment, and Kandi gives us a heartmelting epilogue that wraps this series up perfectly. I hate goodbyes, but what a delightful and heartfelt ending!

I'm so sad this series is over as it definitely gave me similar vibes to when I was reading the Off Campus series. Amazing characters, great stories, and swoon-worthy romances. I just love reading about guys in sports and about interesting heroines falling in love with them.

Not going to lie reading about Mary having so many tattoos makes me want to get more one day!

Highly recommend this series if you are looking for a great time!

The only good thing about this book is that we figured it covered a prompt for the pop sugar challenge. Otherwise it was predictable with the main character getting in her own way.

Ooh, this book was HOT HOT HOT! I loved the second chance, enemies-to-lovers and reverse grumpy/sunshine elements! Former nerd turned angry girl tattoo artist and hot jock who may or may not have dissed her in high school after revealing her feelings gave me "Never Been Kissed" vibes. The spicy scenes were on point, which is something Kandi is great at. She's become one of my favorite authors!

Leo Fucking Hernandez.

Kandi MF Steiner, you did it again.
You had me falling in love with MMC and have him ripped from me but I was put back together by the end of the epilogue. (Which was so GD beautifully written, I was SOBBING)

I had so much connection with Mary with how she grew up, with being bullied and a gamer girl.
I was a disappointment to my parents. But I'm so happy Mary was able to have some resolution with her parents <3

Having all the Red Zone Rival Women peep their heads back in during this last book had me feeling all warm and fuzzy.

Just like the women of the Red Zone, I also have had difficulties holding relationships/friendships over the years. The Bachelorette party just spoke to me.

Thank you Kandi. Just thank you for this final piece to this magical puzzle for the Red Zone Rivals. These characters will be missed but I look forward to what you do next with Hockey Romance.
