This is prob my second favorite book in the series. I loved everything about it. You don’t see much “pole” recognition in books and the second chance here was done so well. I loved this entire series. 5star read for me

TW for minor SA. Was a quick, sweet read. I have been dying to read their story since the end of the 3rd book and it met all of my expectations. These two have phenomenal banter.
I am sad that this series has come to an end but I think Leo has officially become my favorite NBU football player.
Leo is a cocky football player who has the stats to back it up. He has never had a girl turn him away, so when he meets Mary and discovers that she hates him it is game on. When Mary’s house gets flooded and she has no where to go, Leo immediately offers up a spare room in The Pit (football house) for her to stay. This will be a great way to help her in her time of need but also show her he isn’t the worst guy in the world.
Mary is an aspiring tattoo artist who is low on money so when the worst happens and she becomes homeless the only option is to accept Leo’s help. However she is determined to not let that effect her views on him. He made her high school life miserable and yet he has no idea who she is.
The two had a lot of miscommunication, but if I were Mary I also wouldn’t have been too excited to clear it all up by reliving the past. Leo is completely infatuated with her and even though it’s obvious she hates him, Leo wants her to be comfortable in their house. He was so sweet with everything he did for her and truly went above and beyond. And when they finally got together, sheesh!

This final book in this series was one of my favorites. It’s sort of a second chance romance which always gets me in my feels. I also just loved Leo and Mary. They are soooo different than the other, but also have these amazing similarities. Their history and how they worked through them was so good on the page. I loved the audio and would absolutely recommend this whole series to lovers of sports romance!

Leo, Leo Leo
Well now... Leo, you naughty boy! I've been watching you from the sidelines and I am very pleased. Very very pleased. [Turns to face everyone else]
You may know him from previous books in this series. Leo is definitely an attention grabbing entity. His ridiculous good looks, his charm, and face it- his ability to get all the attention! Leo is the clown, the charmer, and "the good time" guy. Or so we all thought! Hiding behind that facade is a sweet, helpful, and loving man worth every fantasy. It just took the one woman he could never have to show it!
A history hidden in hurt. A second chance. An absolute Hail Mary is what it took for this chico to find his corazon!
It fills me with a bittersweet happiness seeing the last of the crew finally get the girl. I don't want to leave them behind. I want to revel in the joy and their futures while also wallowing in their present. Sigh. I cried happy and sad tears. Mary and Leo deserve all your love. The crew deserves all the things. I guess I'll just need to adopt the pole therapy or do a reread!
