LEO FREAKING HERNANDEZ you have my whole heart!
Hands down my favorite book in the Red Zone Rivals series! Mary and Leo for life!
While Leo was the star of the show, Mary was right there for me. From the rejected girl in high school who tried to open up to the amazing women who is stubborn, fierce and talented. I am here for her whole journey. From Halo to roommates I was hooked from the first page.
The enemies to lover vibe was fireeeee in this book! And the epilogue ARE YOU KIDDING ME!
10/10 recommend !

4.5 stars! Wow this book was fantastic! Definitely my favorite of the series! Mary and Leo went to high school together. Leo was a star football player and Mary being a goth outcast. But it happened that Leo and Mary formed a friendship while playing video games online together. Something happens that tears them apart and causes Mary to hate him forever. Years later Mary lives across the street from Leo and after her house gets destroyed she has no other option than to accept Leo's offer to move in with him and his roommates.
The tension between Leo and Mary in the first half of this book is off the charts! And Leo's character is so swoony and that Leo is not the same as Mary remembers. I could not put this book down! I loved it!

4.25 ⭐️ I can't believe this series is over...
Excuse me while I go cry in the club... When I tell you this series is one my favourite series of all time, even though my college romance phase ended long ago. But, omg, this series is the one and only exception to the rule - it's that good. I'm pretty sure I'm going to enjoy these books forever.
Now, about this one in particular. Mary is a tattoo artist who's obsessed with art and video games, not necessarily in that order. And Leo... well, Leo is a jock, plain and simple. He always has been, and although he can be a sweetheart, he's also the kind of guy who'd rather make people laugh than take things seriously. Or so he lets everyone believe. Their past is deep open wound in both of their hearts... except only Mary remembers Leo and their high school love.
Mary was amazing, stubborn and badass, which it's the perfect convo for an FMC in my opinion, so I loved her. And Leo was hard to get into, while at the same time impossible not to completely fall for... obviously, I adored him too. This is a second chance romance story, and to be honest, there were parts where I wished the author would've spend more time in the details, because some important decisions and plot points felt rushed. But I get it. This book's already over 400 pages... but I wanted more, ok!? I want more Red Zone Rivals! I can't help it.
I can't wait to see what Kandi Steiner does next, but just know that I'll probably devour it too!
