I read this book all the way through because I was curious about the story, but the writing was not good. It was over-explanatory, simple, and really frustrating at times. Great writers show, but don't feel like they have to tell everything. This author, at least in this book, told us everything, and repeated herself, in fact.
I can't recommend the book, but I will concede that for those interested in magic, it might at least be an interesting story. My advice would be to find another, though.

The story was fine... cute, fun, etc. I liked the main male character and the au pair quite a lot... it's just that the main character was so dumb sometimes. She made a few really ridiculous mistakes that really made you want to smack her... and really made the story feel a little more unrealistic.
Hilarious - which was not unexpected, coming from Meg Cabot.
This book was predictable and consumate Meg Cabot. I liked the paranormal twist.
It was interetsing to listen to during work. It definately isn't one I would want to read or listen to again though as the characters seemed quite under developed and like the author was trying to make the story more interesting than it could have been.
