I don’t hate you.

5 stars! Wow... these Whitlock boys. Each one gets better than the last! Tempting Promises is the third in the Whitlock Family series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but the characters are definitely intertwined throughout each other's novels.

This is Rowan Whitlock's time to shine. He does not get along with Charlotte. In fact, they're practically enemies. Rowan is not only a pain in her side because he owns the farm next door, but he's also her sister's ex (sort-of). Rowan has never made it a secret that he doesn't do relationships and doesn't want anything more. But after hooking up with Aurora and her wanting more, she decided to spread all sorts of lies about Rowan. Charlotte, of course, believed her sister's version of things.

But we all know there's a thin line between love and hate, because to hate someone, you have to have a whole lot of feelings involved (I'm a firm believer that the opposite of love is indifference).

Rowan and Charlotte are both competing to get the same contract that could change the outcome of their farms. But when Mother Nature decides to get in their way and forces them to be alone in close proximity - they find that while they may hate each other, their bodies get along great. There is a ton of chemistry between these two - but is there anything more than that?

Rowan cares a lot more than he lets on, and he definitely seems to go toward the kindergarten teasing to show his affection - but sometimes it goes a little too far. Charlotte has serious trust issues with him, and a lot at stake personally with her farm.

Can these two find their way to each other? Are they meant to be?

I loved this story and can't wait to see them in Brynlee's story!

OBSESSED. Seriously I am utterly o b s e s s e d. This riveting story is the epitome of enemies to lovers done right! Tempting Promises is one of Corinne’s best stories. I was captivated by the banter, the tension, the spice, the family is all top notch! I didn’t think I could love Rowan this much! Rowan and Charlotte are the definition of enemies. They really hate each other and it mostly stems from Charlotte’s sister who has spread lies about Rowan. But they have also been rivals with their farms and are constantly trying to beat each other out for things.

Charlotte and Rowan have so much sexual tension between them. And things heat up even more when they are stuck in a cabin together. Every time they say it’s the “last time” you just know it is not! Their journey from rivals to lovers is as explosive as it is sweet and tender. When they put their hatred aside, they end up connecting in a deeper way than they have with anyone else before. Their chemistry is just so intoxicating. The way they supported each other even when fighting for the same thing just proved how much they were meant for each other. Will their passion for each other and their farms get in their way of being together or will it be an obstacle they are able to overcome together?

There is nothing bad to say about this audio, Jason & Andi together are always a great listen. They sound good together while also becoming the characters. I loved hearing them go from hating each other to loving each other. Corinne always has the best audiobooks!

Rowan gets 5 stars just for dealing with Aurora! What a giant B*!

Seriously though Rowan is a great guy disguised as a semi-bad guy;) You can tell a lot about a person by their actions & his spoke volumes! He loves his family, his farm and his small town with his whole heart…that he thinks can’t love

Disappointing as it completely written so differently from the other two. Characters were more childish, and the story wasn't flowing.

Corinne Michaels can do no wrong and I'll stay with that statement forever.

I loved Rowan more than what I expected. I love that he is totally different from his brothers and the tropes are really different from the previous books in the series.

I'm not a big fan of enemies to lovers but Corinne MADE IT WORK FOR ME!!! I loved the chemistry between the main couple and how they developed feelings for each other.

Charlotte is such a deep character and I loved to see her struggles about trust and growing up as a character.

The friend group was awesome as well and I adored seeing the couples. I can't wait for the next book - I just know it will be amazing!!

Some tropes you can find in this book:
- Enemies to lovers;
- Forced Proximity;
- Only one sleeping bag.

Thank you so much for the ARC valentine pr and Corinne Michaels!

the characters were fun but like the plot was so ???? like wth was even happening. but then again, that's the point of forced proximity ig so maybe i'm who's crazy (i'm not). anyway, despite rowan's emotional unavailability, i thought the romance was good. and i liked the way charlotte and her sister's relationship played out bc it was messy and dysfunctional as hell.
