Rowan + Charlotte have been enemies since Rowan supposedly β€œcheated” on her sister. They both also share land close to one another and Rowan is constantly outbidding Charlotte. The stress of the farm is getting to her so she decided to go with her friends to the mountains, but ends up getting stuck in a cabin for a few days with Rowan. The tension becomes too much to handle and they finally give in to one another. But, when they go back they say they will just be friend with one another, but they can’t stop from secretly seeing one another.

This just became my top favorite book in this series!πŸ™ŒπŸ»

The enemies to lovers banter will make you so giddy. The β€œI hate you” but desperately β€œI want you” vibes, along with Rowan’s dirty mouth will have you fanning yourself. πŸ₯΅

I also love the β€œforbidden” aspect of it all since Rowan hooked-up with her sister years ago. And when she find out the truth about what happened, you can help but root for the two of them. 🫢🏻

This is the third book of the Whitlock Family series, but CAN be read as a standalone. No cheating + of course, a HEA! 🫢🏻

One thing that enemies-to-lovers usually have that I love is good banter. We’ll let me tell you, these two have phenomenal banter.

I automatically crushed on Charlotte. She is such a strong FMC! With her real worries but still a resilient and strength you couldn’t help but admire.

The cherry on top of this Rowan sundae is the way he was so adamant about never being in a relationship, then watching him fall so hard for Charolette. 🫠

This was another Whitlock man you can’t help falling for.

This book deserves infinity starts! I loved everything about it. From the banter to the conflicts to the spicy scenes and Rowan’s dirty mouth, this was one of the best books I’ve read in a long time. Rowan and Charlotte are enemies, both own farms right next to each other, and both of them like to make life difficult for the other. Charlotte has despised Rowan ever since he broke her sister’s heart, and Rowan has gone along with the hate because it’s easier than trying to explain himself to people who already don’t like him. When these two get trapped together out in the wilderness (on what was supposed to be a fun trip with their respective friend groups) the tension between them, all the hatred and the jabs, get forgotten and they find ways to pass the time until they can make it back to their friends. The sexual chemistry between them is explosive, and when they finally are able to get back to their friends, they vow to never speak of what happened in the tiny cabin in the wilderness. Easier said than done. They can’t seem to stay away from each other when they get back home. They are both vying for a contract that could change their farms and should not be seeing each other. They both realize somewhere along the way that neither of them is the person they thought they knew. Both are scared of the future, especially Rowan, because he saw what love did to his mother and vowed never to love someone, but Charlotte wormed her way into his heart. I knew I was going to love Rowan, but he surpassed my expectations. He was sweet one minute and saying dirty things the next. His carefree attitude makes it seem like he doesn’t care, but it’s the exact opposite. He said some of the most beautiful things to Charlotte, and he turned out to be one of my favorite book boyfriends ever!

In her latest addition to the captivating Whitlock Family series, Corinne Michaels seamlessly weaves a tale of passion, rivalry, and undeniable chemistry in a flawless enemies-to-lovers storyline. With her signature style, Ms Michaels delivers a soul-stirring storyline that hits all the right notes, blending emotional depth with scorching romance.

Charlotte and Rowan’s dynamic leaps off the page, fueled by their constant banter and simmering tension. Despite their opposing backgrounds as owners of rival farms, their interactions crackle with electricity, making every scene sizzle with anticipation. This author masterfully layers their relationship with the added complexity of Rowan’s history with Charlotte’s sister, adding another dimension to the already rich storyline.

I’ve been a fan of Corinne’s writing for years but she really just keeps getting better and better. I’ve loved all 3 of the books in the Whitlock Farms series, and it’s hard to choose an absolutely favorite, but this one was so so good and so hard to put down!

Rowan and Charlotte are definitely enemies, but somehow can’t seem to really stay away from each other. Then end up getting trapped for a few DAYS in a cabin in the woods, stranded by an ice storm. And they decide: what happens in the cabin stays in the cabin.

Of course, it doesn’t just stay in the cabin and these two end up having to face that not only might they have real feelings for each other, but they have some serious obstacles to overcome if they really want to be together!

Rowan is such a softie on the inside! Not only do we see it in his relationships with his niece Olivia (so precious!), but once he decides he really wants to be with Charlotte, there’s no going back and he will do anything and everything to win her heart and her trust.

I truly loved this one and have a feeling I’ll be returning to it because I need more Rowan and Charlotte in my life!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! The first 3 books in the series, all amazing, are out now and on KU!

Actions speak louder than words and Corinne Michaels fully embraces this statement in her third installment in the Whitlock Family series. Tempting Promises is an enemies to lovers small town romances, that truly shows the line between love and hate is much closer than you think. Corinne Michaels shines! This novel is beautifully written, deliciously plotted, sensually tension filled and a sexy exploration of someone’s true character. This series has been full of gem, each novel has felt wonderfully unique while still keeping the Whitlock family at its center. Corinne Michaels continues to broaden this small town with dimensional characters while fleshing out the world around the main characters. While this is the third installment in this series, you can easily read it as a standalone, and I would highly recommend this to any small town romance lover!

Rowan and Charlotte both sparkle and sizzle off the page! Their history, dynamics and competitive natures put them both at odds from the start of this novel, and I love how Michaels does not shy away from keeping the β€œenemy” tension between them for as long as she can. These two are the perfect match for the other, their banter and chemistry enlivens every interaction and drives their romance to a beautiful end. Michaels also uses a snowed/iced in situation to truly create the perfect forced proximity element to drive them into a new physical exploration. These two together are sexy and watching their inner battles with themselves is delightful and fun. Actions truly speak louder than words in both Rowan and Charlotte’s cases, they both struggle with trust in a romantic relationship; so, it is truly through their actions that their feelings speak a world of depths. The strength of their romance lies in the quiet moments of exploration, understanding and trust, as they both learn the inner truth of the other.

Tempting Promises is absolutely worth a read! Pick up this novel if you are looking for a hero that will work hard to show his heroine that she is the one. Pick up this novel if you love two people supporting each other and being proud of what they achieve. Pick up this novel is you love to explore the sensual tension of an β€œenemy”.

Tempting Promises is the 3rd book in the Whitlock Farms series and it's a small town,  enemies-to-lovers romance that I enjoyed.

I never guessed Rowan would be my favorite Whitlock brother but wow, this author gave us a character who was charming, swoony and knew how to use his mouth in more ways than one. His dirty talk game was on point and add that to the fact that he was loyal and had such a big heart and Charlotte didn't stand a change.

Both he and Charlotte were the definition of enemies-to-lovers and the constant back and forth bickering between these two was a great source of amusement.
Then when the steam hit, it sure was scorching proving there really is a fine line between love and hate.

Apart from the heat and the laughter, the story also had some emotional moments with some drama and conflict.

There was a great cast of secondary characters and I loved seeing the other couples from the previous books. This was my favorite read in this series and I would highly recommend it.

🎧
I listened to the audiobook version which was narrated by Jason Clarke & Andi Arndts. I absolutely loved their voices which perfectly suited the characters. They brought out the emotions from the characters and their voices complimented each other well. I really enjoyed listening to them narrate this novel.

I read this one and absolutely loved it lots. The series has been so great and seeing grump Rowan get his happy ending was so good to see.
This story follows Rowan and Charlotte's story as they both own a farm on neighbouring lands. They have never gotten along and mostly because Rowan dated Charlotte's sister. Now they are both competing for a contract for the farm that might help Charlotte save her family's farm.
Charlotte is definitely a girl that can stand her ground. Rowan is very sceptical towards love as he saw lots happen with his own mother. But getting closer and closer to Charlotte his view changes. I also loved they got stuck together and needed to survive in close quarters to each other. Seeing them fight and make up was so lovely.
I so recommend this series if you are looking for an interconnected small town family romance!
Thanks to Valentine PR for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Perfection. Holy cow. I swear this series keeps getting better and better. Rowan and Charlotte might just be my new favorites, I love them so much. Their banter? Top. Tier. They had me ROLLING with their back and forth. They have their reasons to not like each other….”not like” might be an understatement, but the banter and the tension made for some ~delicious~ heat. Add in the sneaking around, and I was sweating. I loved watching the sparks fly. It is a thin line between love and hate after all…
It was just so good, and Rowan easily won me over with his dirty mouth and the way he kept showing up for Charlotte. I also loved watching Charlotte start to stand up for herself and what she wants. I just loved this one so much, and I know these two are going to live in my head rent free for a very long time. It was all just *chef’s kiss*.
