Tempting Promises is an enemies to lovers, forced proximity/snowed in, take care of you when you're hurt, trope filled nuggets of goodness. I love Charlotte and Rowan's chemistry, and how they verbally spar with each other. It makes the tension so delicious and had me rooting for them. This book had me finding a new favorite nickname, when Rowan calls Charlotte a porcupine because she is so prickly and defensive (especially because it's for good reasons). The spice was top tier, and had me all in my feels. I also really appreciated how Charlotte and Rowan learn and grow to become better versions of themselves and don't try to "fix each other". The internal growth for the sake of growing is something I really appreciate in characters. I highly recommend this book if you're a fan of interconnected family romances, enemies to lovers with forced proximity, and small town vibes.

Charlotte and Rowan delivered everything I was expecting, spectacular banter where you could feel the tension between them jumping off the pages while also giving us plenty of cute and funny moments.

They both hate each other, but it's clear as day the spark that ignites every time they cross paths, and when they get trapped in a cabin because of a snowstorm, what was just a spark finally catches fire.

It was amazing to see the walls they both had built start to crumble, and soon enough, Rowan, who never wanted a serious relationship, let himself be the first to dive in.

The secret meetings were hands down the highlights for me. Alongside the insane chemistry, there were these sweet and tender moments that unfolded so effortlessly. Honestly, I caught myself grinning from ear to ear countless times while flipping through the pages.

I had a blast reading this book, and I'd totally recommend it.

Thank you so much, Valentine Pr, for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

OMG, Rowan!? Who knew that such a delectable playboy could be so swoony! The Whitlock family is one of my favorites and I was so excited to return to Sugarloaf for Rowan's story! Charlotte felt like everything was crashing down around her and Rowan became such a safe place for her, it was so sweet! As much as Rowan tried to deny it, he fell hard for Charlotte and the couple had such amazing chemistry! The banter was great and really added to the story. I can't wait for Brynlee’s story and to see what's next!

This is book three in the Whitlock Family series focusing on Rowan Whitlock and Charlotte Sullivan. They supposedly hate each other, but really don't. Rowan just likes to push her buttons and see her reaction. She is the one who has issues with him because of her older sister.

When situations leave them alone and stranded in a remote cabin, real feelings come out to play (literally, LOL) The scenes are spicy and could melt the ice in the ice storm they are in. Rowan is such a good guy disguised as a bad one. He loves his farm and his family. His scenes with his deaf niece were so endearing. Charlotte is so strong and stubborn. She loves her farm for sentimental reasons but is failing due to lack of money.

I really enjoyed their relationship. The passing of the hat and it being "the last time" between them was cute. Rowan and Charlotte's banter was top notch, too. I also liked that there really wasn't a third act breakup between them.

Another winner by this author! Looking forward to the next book.

Thank you to Valentine PR and the author for an advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’m ashamed to say this my first Whitlock book, but please know I’m going back and reading the from the beginning of the series. I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did, but it sucked me right in. The rivalry between Charlotte and Rowan was next level, and the spice was spicing. I’m always a sucker for enemies to lovers and this book was no different. I loved the small town vibe of the book and the amazing friendships that everyone has. This book had so many levels of world and character building that no one will be able to resist falling in love.

Tempting Promises is the third book of the Whitlock Family series of interconnected standalones. Enemies to lovers, small town, and only one sleeping bag? Say no more! Charlotte and Rowan are competing for the same contract for their dairy farms. Charlotte already doesn’t like him because of the rumors of what he did to her sister. But sparks fly when these two get stuck alone together in a cabin by an ice storm. And did those sparks ignite! I really enjoyed the banter and tension between them. They both had to overcome their problems and it made their HEA even better!

This book was everything I could have wanted for Rowan and Charlotte. The angst and sexual tension was perfect and at times had me giddy! I was hooked with their story from the first chapter and stay up way too late to finish…I couldn’t just stop at 75%! This series just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait for the next book!

happy charlotte and rowan day 🔥

i love when an enemies to lovers feels like they actually don’t like each other. not only are charlotte and rowan enemies because he broke her sisters heart, they are rivals on neighboring farms hoping to be chosen for a life changing contract.

the banter is so fun and fiery and the tension between them is intense. their chemistry is hard to ignore, but dang do they try. and they are both too stubborn and competitive to give in. until they are stranded in a cabin during an ice storm with only one sleeping bag and the temptation is too hard to ignore. and once that line is crossed it get spicyyy.

charlotte is struggling and hard headed but i completely understand her reluctance to hand over control, especially when she feels so alone. and rowan, my gosh… he may be a playboy but he is so swoony. he is willing to take the blame, take the lead and take on whatever charlotte needs. together they are reluctantly beautiful and so heartwarming i could cry.

the audio is amazing, it sucked me in immediately. andi arndt and jason clark brought this story to life had me falling in love with these characters.

I was literally just thinking about the fact that I will occasionally think to myself "why am I not living the exact life of the FMC" while reading books, and it happened in this one as well! Let's just ignore the fact that I am not an outdoors person and I really don't enjoy being dirty, so being a farmer would probably be the end of the world for me lol.
In all seriousness, I absolutely loved this book. The forbidden aspect tied in with the enemies to lovers and forced proximity had me obsessed with every word and I couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Charlotte and Rowan were so fun to read and I just want to give Corinne Michaels the BIGGEST high 5 for writing such a compelling story! Love this one!
