I just love Corinne Michaels’ writing! The banter, the emotion, the spice… all top tier.

The tension between Charlotte and Rowan was amazing and I love the way he fought for her. The cabin scenes were

ROWAN WHITLOCK is the new standard! I’m new to Corinne Michaels and I started with the Whitlock Family series and I have fallen in love with her writing from the start of Forbidden Hearts, but this book right here, Tempting Promises has made me a fan for life. This is the definition of enemies to lovers, hate fu*king turned something else between two neighbors with rival farms and it was absolute perfection!!! I need more books like this to fill my life with.

I have been WAITING (very patiently) for Rowan’s book and it did not disappoint. He has been my favorite side character throughout all the books and he is officially my favorite of the brothers. Therefore this book has made it to the favorite spot of this series.

Rowan is a jackass in all the right ways, he’s funny and the town’s asshole. But for all the wrong reasons. He didn’t actually do what everyone says he did and instead of fighting he just accepts it.

Charlotte hates Rowan for what he “did” to her sister. Charlotte is a hard working woman who feels lonely more than she has ever felt loved. Her sister… oh Lordy her sister… an awful person. I promise you’ll hate Aurora and will never be mad at Charlotte for the things she lets the enemy (Rowan) do to her.

10/10 recommend reading Rowan’s story!

" I love this woman... I have never felt such a longing for another person in my entire life... She's the reason I breathe and why seasons change. She's why I have hope for the future and can let go of the past... Charlotte is what gives my life meaning and I feel so goddamn lucky that we are where we are today." - Rowan Whitlock

The third book in the Whitlock Series, Tempting Promises, tells the story of Rowan Whitlock's struggle to overcome his fear of falling in love and having nothing left over after resulting in a possible disastrous relationship. He's in for a surprise when his adversary Charlotte Sullivan comes along for the ride of his life and, despite his fears, helps him win the love he deserves.

This enemy to lovers, forced proximity, and contemporary romance give you some sort of ambivalence. It was entertaining to watch their constant banter whenever they crossed paths, even to the point where they pushed each other's buttons. I've been deeply affected by Charlotte's daily struggles, including managing her farm's issues, her sister's selfishness, some abandonment issues she experienced, and her conflicted feelings toward Rowan. Conversely, Rowan has been the series' character I was most looking forward to because of his hilarious sense of humour, which sometimes borders on assholery. He's the most carefree, gregarious, and fun of the brothers. Although his and Charlotte's weekend at the cabin had gone beyond their limits, it had given them a chance to confront the source of their animosity and discover the extent of their sincere feelings for one another.

My attention is constantly drawn to Corinne Michaels' storytelling mastery, and I always find myself smiling and unwinding before closing my Kindle because of the way she excellently weaves the story's intricacies into a satisfying conclusion - which, in this instance, is Rowan's letting go of his belief about his mother's previous transgressions on love as well as seeing a new and improved Rowan 2.0 and Charlotte's overcoming her abandonment issues.

The epilogue and bonus epilogue were entertaining and gave you an insight into the next book - Brynlee and Carson. Considering that it would be the final book in the series, I have mixed feelings about it. I'm not quite ready to part with the Whitlocks.

Definitely my favourite book of the series so far! The love-hate relationship between Rowan and Charlotte is second to none! I love how Rowan shows up for Charlotte even when she is pushing him away! I loved their time stuck in the hunting cabin, but it's the banter between them towards the end of the book that really had me smiling! I'm so glad Charlotte stood up to her sister and told her her where to go as she was being quite toxic! I also liked how the Whitlock brothers discussed their feels, doesn't happen a lot in books where the male characters will sit around and talk about feelings so I'm really glad Corinne put that in this book, made a nice change! I'm looking forward to Brynlee's book and get to know her story better!

The enemies to lovers was doing its thing in this book!! I love when the mc’s absolutely hate each other, it makes the lovers part all the more satisfying. Charlotte and Rowan were full of witty banter and some sweet moments. I loved seeing a softer side to Rowan, and Charlotte too. This was another amazing book in the Whitlock Family series
