A solid book, but couldn’t get close to reckless. I didn’t like the age gap and how often it was mentioned, but loved the FMC direct way of communication

Unfortunately, I cannot say that I like one cowboy... both because this one was incredibly underwhelming and Beau wasn't even a cowboy (I mean not really).

It's a shame; I'd started to get interested in him, as a character in light of the rest of the Eatons, and I think there was a lot of missed potential, i.e. positioning him as the foil to the "never leave Chesnut Springs" Eatons, the non-cowboy of the group, the former light-hearted jokester who had been hardened by life and experiences. It would almost get there... and then nothing.

I didn't dislike Bailey, and I'm all about that "golden boy and girl from the wrong side of the tracks (or property line)" storyline, but I just didn't feel invested as I had in past books of the series.

I don't know what else to say. This is me racking my brain. I'm mostly happy I finished with the series. I really enjoyed 3 out of 5 books, and I didn't exactly hate the other 2. So that's a pretty good ratio.

Oh... I'm sorry. But... Harvey and Cordelia? Hard no. Hard pass. I hope her sister returns from the grave and haunts them both (not really, I'm being immature but also...)
