I have heard about Octavia and how she writes very unhinged characters. This felt like reading about Joe from YOU but make him a black man, or a Criminal Minds episode that was very similar. This escalated so quickly I felt like at times I couldn’t keep up because he was on to the next unhinged act. That part was done very well. I would’ve rated this book higher if it wasn’t for the one SA scene. I listened to the audiobook and don’t remember triggers being included at the beginning but this is a book that definitely should come with TWs if it doesn’t already have them. Read with caution.

This story was quite honestly the most disturbing and deranged story I’ve ever listened to! Just when I thought it was at its capacity of wild, something else happened. Andrew was the epitome of delusional and deranged which led me to want to stop being kind to strangers 😅
