Okay, listen.
It is not a terrible read. There were parts that I really like such as the imaginary and the fantastical wonder of the world.
What really made me stick with a 3 star review was that there were parts in beginning and the middle that seemed to drag on FOREVER. There were moments I seriously considered stopping because I did not think I could make it.
BUT, at the last 1/3 is where the pace really sped up in a great way. I might actually read the second book in this series because the ending was very well done.

This book was soooo boring.
I fell asleep reading this book. I had to put the book down and try not to cry while reading because of how boring it was. The way I screamed of joy when there were no more pages was beautiful.
First of, I am a sucker for mythology. So obviously I was excited for this. But I couldn’t tell you what happens in this book. It was not memorable at all.
Also it had every 12 year old trope ever. I’m sure millions of other reviews have the same thing. But the book was trying to be Percy Jackson with the core three of Harry Potter.
Overall i am disappointed and so underwhelmed with this book.
