A fun, disturbing, beautifully-made mashup of dystopia, apocalypse, and superhero themes. There's a dark pragmatism and sociopathy to a lot of it which resonates with the way the world is presented to us (too) often.

This is the longest it's taken me to read something in a long time, and it was totally worth it. This doesn't read like a typical comic, with quick pace, and it's chock full of complicated, intersected storylines that all come together in the end. I thought a lot about the ending... I thought a lot about all of it, and what it says about the world. I suspect I'll still be thinking about it a while from now, and I'm impressed by Alan Moore in a way that I wasn't before.
It's Watchmen, it's great, what else can I say?
