This is my kind of kink, lol glitterkink? I think that's what it's called. Not too over the top, but a little bit of excitement! After All, handcuffs never hurt anyone. :)
Morgan is a cable TV sex talk show host for Turn Me On. The next subject on her show is they dynamic of D/s (Dominant & submissive) relationships. She has always been curious about it herself, but never acted on her curiosity. Leaving L.A. to interview a well known Dominant Master J. couldn't of come at a better time. Morgan has herself a stalker, whose antics were starting to get pretty scary. Visiting her half brother in Houston, was the perfect place to hide out until things settled down. She and Brandon concoct a story about being engaged, because they are unable to reveal that they are related. While meeting with Master J. her stalker ups his crazy scale, by taking shots at her in a public place. Jack is ex-military, and also makes a living as a bodyguard. He is able to get Morgan to safety, and convinces her to stay with him so he can protect her. He has well connected friends, and is able to get the ball rolling on identifying her stalker. Until then, they are in a secluded cabin in the swamps of Louisiana. Holy hell, does it get steamy in the swamps!

Jack is Cajun, and all his life has been told that the men of his mothers line were cursed to dream about their soul-mate before actually meeting them. Evidently long ago one of the men of his family met his soul-mate after he was already married. He paid a voodoo priestess to curse all the men of his line. They would dream about their soul-mate prior to meeting them, and would have no question of her identity once finally meeting her. When Morgan turns up with the fiery red hair of the lady haunting his dreams he thinks it's a mere coincidence. His grandfather isn't nearly so convinced. Deke is Jacks friend and business partner. A big tough guy with a knack for making jokes, at exactly the right, or wrong time depending on who you ask. Jack is determined to convince Morgan that she is a true submissive at heart, even though her mind is fighting it all the way. In the end he makes her fantasies come true, almost loses her because of his stupidity, and gets her back for a happily ever after. Andrew, Morgan's ex fiance turns out to be the stalker, bent on saving Morgan from her wicked ways. He is a nutcase, and in the end Jack takes care of him. :)

Smut with a story? Sure! The plot is pretty simple, but it was still enough to keep my attention.

There is a lot of descriptive smut in this book. Like, a lot. So it’s not for the delicate heart. But holy hell, this was spicy

Meh.

What an amazing story. This is full of angst, anger, lust, romance, cajun-heat, spice, thrills and every-single-minute-of-the-book EMOTION! There is no way you will not get into the emotions the author has laid out for you in this book. Well... unless your dead. The only reason I didn't finish this story sooner was because I passed out reading it.. much to the dismay of my e-reader battery. I am reeling from the telling of the story, and my mind is focused on only one thing... read the next story NOW!

I have mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand I love the idea of exploring BDSM and embracing your sexuality.  Jack was a great dominant and I definitely enjoyed his perspective more. On the flip side, Morgan's inner monologues made me want to scream at her and I was screaming at this book. She was so whiny and I get that having certain things said to you can affect you but she took it too far. She was annoying for most of the book and I just wish her character would have developed a bit more. I also wish we would have seen more of her in action with her TV show because I think that would have been really cool. I know this wasn't going to be plot heavy, but she could have worked in more content for the show while she was being hidden. I did like the little mystery aspect and it definitely kept the tension up. I have to say I did enjoy the spice as well. Which if you're looking for heavy spice, this is your book.  I also would have loved more of Jack's backstory and such, but hopefully I'll see him again in the series. Am I going to continue reading the series? Absolutely. I liked this one, but it was hard with such a petulant FMC.

2.5 stars

This had a frustrating amount of potential, which never quite seemed to be fulfilled. The actual sex scenes were really well written and I did enjoy the plot, however, there is only so many times I can read the characters exhausting, lengthy descriptions of reflection regarding everyyyyy decissssionnnn they makeeeeee like just ADMIT YOU LIKE IT AND HAVE SEX ALREADY. BE TRUTHFUL WITH EACH OTHER. the stalker could’ve been enough drama without the revenge twist as well

I felt like Morgan just repeatedly slut shamed herself and her kinks even though she was having sex with Jack anyway?

I know this books main goal was to be sexy and it really did do that. There were A LOT of sex scenes and as I said before they were well written but I could’ve done without the insistent overthinking from each character

I liked this book but I fell short of loving it because Morgan annoyed me. Her character had no confidence in her sexuality but confidence in the rest of her life and that annoyed me. I liked Jack, I liked the supporting characters. I thought his revenge was a bit twisted but I could get beyond that. I liked the suspense and the action and I was trying to guess who her stalker was the whole time. In the end I liked it but I didn't love it.

For my friend challenge this month, we choose this series. We both have read some of the books and wanted to finish this series.

Since I didn’t remember any of the stories thought I would do a relisten.
Also I guess I didn’t review them either so this is the perfect time to do that too.
Morgan is coming to terms with who and what she wants in her personal life. She has a stalker and is seeking safety with her step brother but he is leaving and she finds herself in Jack’s sights. He is kind of the perfect person for her to be with at this time because he is a bodyguard but he is he-l –l bent on revenge against her step brother. Unfortunately Morgan is oblivious.
I enjoyed most of the book the one part that I was like scratching my head was the “missionary vanilla stuff” it felt like it was all a show. Like he can’t speak she can’t speak while having missionary I think it was a little manipulative on Jack’s part. And when Morgan finally opens up about what she wants he also freaks out and makes her feel bad for having her wants. So I wasn’t a big fan of Jacks there.

The ending was great. I liked the narration but I really think these books would be way better with a male’s voice maybe Duet or Dual narration.
