This book was much better than her "Tempt Me with Darkness" book. She should definitely stick with erotica. This book was sinfully enjoyable. I was a little reserved about reading it because from other reviews I learned this book is about BDSM. That really wasn't my thing until I read this book. I haven't read much about BDSM but I would have to say this book is pretty mild. It's more about dominance more than anything.
"Wicked Ties" was also painfully slow when it came to the plot. I know it's erotica but I believe erotica books can have an intriguing complex plot as well as a lot of sex. This one came up short when it cam to plot development. However, what Black lack's in plot development, she makes up in long descriptive wicked sex scenes. YUM!

To be clear, my reasoning for the rating of this book is a severe case of "it's not you, it's me" because the hardcore bdsm thing I'm realizing in fiction (nevermind in real life) is not something that's for me. I am perfectly fine with anyone else who likes that kind of activity or lifestyle but it just doesn't appeal to me. I prefer the traditional approach to sex with some little kinks here and there but I always prefer to be treated as my partner's equal, I don't like being ordered around or told I'm not allowed to speak or question or do anything unless my partner says so.
Now that my probably unnecessary rant is done, this book was good. I think it does hold a good general idea of what bdsm is and how the dominant helps the submissive awaken and satisfy his/her deepest desires.
The book was very well written in my point of view and despite there being some things that made me uncomfortable, I still wanted to find out what happened in terms of the storyline.
So if you do like heavy bdsm storylines with protective dominant men and hot, sexual exploration and a suspenseful plot with a stalker, you should like this book :) I'm sorry that I didn't like it as much but I'm glad I finished it and I don't regret reading it!

I truly enjoyed this book. It had a great story and you really get wrapped up in the characters. It wasn't your typical Dom he didn't annoy me like most do, you really felt sorry for Jack and wanted him to win Morgan. I give it two thumbs up!
Thought I’d venture out of my usual genres. Much regret... lol. There isn’t much of a plot here, it’s 90% porn. It’s not for the faint of heart! The inner monologues going on in both Morgan and Jack’s heads were so repetitive and uninteresting that I skipped almost a quarter of the book. Jack’s uncouth mouth is kinda gross tbh. I also found the development of romance between them extremely unbelievable. Shayla Black can write a steamy scene for sure. And for that, I give it an extra star above Fifty Shades hahaha
DNF'd this one, the dialogue was too cringey so I didn't get far.

A couple of weeks ago I decided to read more erotica from my pile because I honestly missed some hard love. After reading Masters of Ménage series from Shayla Black and loving the way the pictures these relationships, I though to give a chance to the Wicked Lovers series. Several bloggers consider this book the better of the series and after reading it I can understand how the feel so connected. It’s very hardcore and with several scenes of romantic encounters. These two sure made me go all crazy for a happy ending. Morgan is hiding from a stalker when she met Jack, but she never expected him to made her feel some of her darkest dreams and even show her a different side of sex. The thing is Jack is a Master in BDSM and Morgan is interviewing him for the next season of her sex program and he brought alive her feelings and body like no one could ever do. But Jack has a different agenda and he’s only interested in seducing Morgan so that she betray her Fiancé and dumps the guy. Jack was once a friend with the guy and he’s wife betray him, so is like an eye for an eye and Morgan is only stuck in the middle of this revenge plot. But the best part is that Jack is a bodyguard and can protect her from the crazy stalker while teaching her some sex stories. The book is very sexual and the scenes were really well done, plus the action is a great deal and made everything more dangerous and fast. I liked how Morgan decided to trust her body and move to learn more about her sexuality and opened her mind. Also liked Jack, even thought he was stuck in a revenge, he’s character was very well done and he was still healing from the hurt. Great book.
Wowza is right! This book had me so red in the face and panting myself. There were moments I had to put the book down because it was too much to handle. 5+ stars!!!
